Doctors are def #1 in the cheating department... I've dated a surgeon and an anesthesiologist and that was enough to put me off of doctors forever, never again...:nono:

LOL @ SAHMs :lachen: I'm not a cheater nor will I ever be (i think, i kid lol), however, I'm not surprised....

All of the listed professions are also often associated with being the most popular & preferred professions of malignant narcissists...hmmmm.....it's no coincidence that most doctors' wives are sahms so that explains a lot in itself....

ETA: birds of a feather really do flock together because most of my friends, exes AND close associates fall into one of the professions listed. Now I wish I didnt know this information for future reference :ohwell:

Wait a minute now... wasn't there just an article out saying that women cheat way less when they are SAHMs? I remember some of our resident feminists getting huffy about that.

eta: I'm surprised to see engineers on the list.

eta 2: Everyone and their momma knows that doctors and nurses STAY cheating. BUT: lots of dudes who CLAIM to be doctors on Ashley Madison are doing that to get more clicks. And everyone knows men have that naughty nurse fantasy, so maybe there are some chicks perpetrating like they are nurses too. I mean, nobody fantasizes about banging the Hardee's cashier.

I don't understand why some guys think nursing is sexy. Nursing has to be one of the 'unsexiest' professions ever. Nothing sexy about scrubs, nothing sexy about wiping poop and scooping vomit. Nothing sexy about medications and shots and documentation.

When I get home from work I move through my apartment like I have hazmat on me. Sexy? NOT! Folks are delusional.

:naughty: I've received numerous compliments from guys while wearing my scrubs. I understand how you feel with the moving through the home though.

Now im not gonna want my dr and he's not gonna want me (nurse) based on the list :ohwell:

Nurses, until recently, used to wear uniforms that were fitted to a woman's body proportions... the waist of the garment was at the waist of her body etc. Now people wear sloppy floppy scrubs, which is how many women dress day to day. But for a minute there, women on the street dressed like sloppy men and nurses dressed like WOMEN. I think that contributes.

Plus men are stimulated visually by the sight of women's bodies... and some of them cannot get it through their thick domes that women are not the same as they are that way. So they think... oooh, this 22 yo nurse is gonna see Mr. Happy, and she'll get so aroused that she will :chocbunny: on my tool.

A lot teachers called in and said it's true that teachers cheat a lot because we're around each other more than our spouses. I think those teachers need to be in my classroom all day or something because outside peen is the LAST thing that would be on their minds. Very last.

One teacher said orgies are so bad at state conferences that the hotel management has to break them up (pool, hot tub, spa where folks are hooking up). :nono:

I wish they'd tell what kind of doctors cheat. The mindset of a surgeon or anesthesiologist is dog eat dog. To get that type of precision and work those hours, they're more likely to go on automatic pilot (which of course is not good for relationships), lack sleep, and be high strung and if you combine that with the butt kissing that goes with these high positions it's a recipe for disaster...they're also the most suicidal with the highest divorce rates (wonder why? probably treat their wives like garbage too)..

You're talking alpha dogs, with an environment that coddles them and makes them up to be the "rockstars" of doctors. My fiance said there's a surgeon he knows who, when he's angry throws surgical instruments (not at people but by them) at nurses. Yet he hasn't been fired or repremanded and the nurses tip toe around him. And my fiane has called him out on it , and he'll say sorry to him but not to the nurses, and make some excuse about being stressed.

He was saying that most of them are high strung and frankly jerks (but heck they had to claw their way to the top 1 percent on all tests, and then they're in an environment where everyone fills their head up telling them they're the best of the best. Think of what it takes to be a doctor, and on top of that the top of the top...though some with those test scores choose to go into other fields so they can be happier.).

So you picked two fields where the majority are buttholes. Versus family doctors, pediatrics, and other fields where you're going to get a broader view of personalities.

And of course there are exceptions to every rule.

I find it hilarious for some reason that the women that many perceive as the most desirable wives (teachers, secretaries, and those willing to be SAHMs) are also the most likely to cheat.

Interestingly enough, the list of male cheaters is also comprised of men (doctors, lawyers, and engineers) most often perceived as the most prestigious husbands.

Maybe both groups of cheaters simply have more options than average because their professions are sought after in their genders.

You most certainly are speaking the truth in this post. I remember the long-hours, self-entitled nature and arrogant self-righteousness from both of em. Alphas in the truest sense (which i prefer but I'll take a lesser alpha over them any day). I don't mind being on someone else's time allowing them to take the lead but I was expected to be a complete doormant. A "YES" girl 24/7. They walked over all the women they knew, including their own mothers. Money aside, they give very little yet expect EVERYTHING on demand. Not I. However, they both also boasted about being "humble" and "nice guys."

I'm particularly glad I didnt marry the anesthesiologist (who I was initially madly in love with). I knew he was a jerk the first week I met him to the point I told him he was a "perpetual a$$hole", don't ask me why I dated him. I knew better but was d*ckmatized, blinded by my educated thug. :look: From day one, I didnt like how the hospital nurses and the women in his condo looked at me. It made me uncomfortable like they knew something I didn't know. The first time I answered his door some lady neighbor came over to ask for her tupperware back. She looked like a shocked deer in headlights to see me there and had to talk to me bc he was watching tv. The straw that broke the camel's back was after he had been working one of his 72-hour shifts so when he came home I guess he expected me to jump his bones even though he had been acting like an a$$hole for three weeks straight. We almost had a knock-down drag-out fight because I woudnt give him none. I was on the verge of tears and he accused ME of being selfish. N*gga please. ***. That was it, I waited til he got in the shower, packed up all my ish (and some of his too) and rolled out. That was the end of that. :look: <--- in retrospect, that story is kinda funny bc he and the surgeon still call and message me on fb. i can't be bothered with their foolishness so let another woman have em.:lachen:

Meh...sounds like crud to me. People sign up with what they feel are popular and acceptable careers.

Like luckiestdestiny said, it really depends on the type of doc. That behavior is definitely consist with surgeons and other super specialties. I would never date a surgeons. I definitely see the beginning of that personality in some of my acquaintances and friends who are pursuing surgery specialties.

I knew police and attorneys would be on the list before I opened it. I bet that if it went down to 10, barbers would be somewhere on the list.
