For the first time since being natural, I'm getting my hair blown out and flat iron, plus getting my ends clipped. Is there anything I should do to my ahir before going?:perplexed

probly a lil protein treatment u kno to strengthen it for the heat and a lil dc wont hurt either good luck i hope u enjoy ur hair while u have the SWANG... LOL

Yep. I was just going to say DC. And bring your products. I'm serious.

Everytime I go to a shop I will bring my own products. I know exactly what works for my hair and what mroe than likely isnt' going to work. Bring them Just In Case if you arent' comfortable with telling them what you want used on your head.

I know that I have to have the right conditioner as my last step so I brought m TJ Nourish Spa, because I knew that would leave my hair really detangled if I felt their conditioner wasn't doing the job.

good advice trustme.... i will bring my own if i ever step foot back into a salon. you just don't know what is in the bottles. I think some places run out of the good stuff that was in the bottle and put cheaper versions in. I know my hair never fells as soft and silky at the salon as opposed when i do it at home.
