To Those Who've Ever Worn Kinky Twists

I washed my kinky twists about 7-10 days after they were put in. I then washed or rinsed them a couple of times a week. I had no problems with this and I kept them in for 6-7 weeks. Just use diluted shampoo on the scalp area only, applying it to the parts and rinse well. Afterwards, towel blot and go under the dryer for a bit if you'd like. Otherwise, let them airdry.

Great! So, I'm thinking....can I also do conditioner washes in the same manner without fear of buildup and everything?

I don't recall doing conditioner washes with my twists. Instead, I used a conditioning spray that I made. There was little to no buildup when I took my twists down, which by the way, took hours!

What hair should I use if I want my twists to be long, past shoulder length if possible? My hair is natural
