Thanks Tetbelle!! That is GHORJUS!! Im gonna grab some of that tonite and see what results I get.. the conditioner thing didnt work as well today as it did the other day.. so I look a little crazy by the head. :)

Did you use a leave in conditioner before hand or ONLY the gel?

Thanks! I have done it both ways using the leave in before and without. Hair still comes out soft either way.

Oh yah I did forget to mention - I am relaxed. So Im sure that adds another element to it. My last 'bone straight' relaxer was 4 weeks ago - this next relaxer (in about another 4 or so weeks) Im gonna texlax, which I think will help the 'wash and go' effect. And I did dry alot of the water out of my hair so that prolly didnt help the friziness.

If you texlax without cutting some of your hair, wouldn't you have wavy roots and straight ends. Or at least two different textures?

Anyway, I use the curls line.

Whatever you decide to use, no rubbing hair with towel, no brushing, no touching (well try hard not to touch), no picks

Yep, exactly the situation I'm in now. If I didn't have these bone straight ends, I could try a decent wash & go, but I suspect it would look crazy if I tried one now. Once my hair grows longer, I'll cut off the relaxed ends.

pokahontas, i'm going to go out and try this based on your suggestion. where did you buy it?? i've heard really good things from this product.
I got it from sally's for around $4.99. They have sales all the time where you buy 2 BTZ products and get one free. This is when I stock up, lol. Oh, and it's the curling cream, not the spray.

Pokahontas you have me wanting to try this. Does it clump your curls or leave them stringy? I hate the stringy look:look:

No, not stringy. Mine always come out chunky but I think that's mostly because I use a Denman brush. The noodlehead just holds the curl and keeps it defined and frizz free. As long as you use the right technique you shouldn't get stringy curls.

what's the right technique? I don't normally but it seems lately that's what keeps happening. I wash, use a leave in, put my hair into four sections, and apply product to each section. I then hold my head upside down and scrunch. Sorry to turn this into a tutorial

I do that too except I apply the product, brush through with a denman brush, flip my head and shake. When I flip it back I take small sections and twirl them around my fingers for a chunky curl. This really sets the curl and my wng lasts longer.

I tried the Noodlehead spray and it left my hair a little soft with more frizz than curl definition. I'll try the cream next.

I just bought Miss Jessie's curly meringue and I like it. While it is expensive it really helped with curl definition. I got my first complement so I'm happy. I wish I had my digital cammera to take some pictures but I don't:(.

Still tryin to master this thing... I bought the noodlehead cream in the tube but I dont think I used it right... it was kinda slimy. But Im gonna try it again. Today I just look boofy by the head but oh well. Just trying to avoid heat. Getting a teeny bit frustrated actually... newho. Sorry, just rambling in my own thread... :p

Keep in mind that if you're relaxed bone straight, you may not be able to achieve the curly look of a wash-n-go that a natural/texlaxed sister might get. You may have to use different products/techniques to get a curly look. But keep us posted on your results, because I'd love to be able to try a WNG some day too! Right now, my bone straight ends won't have it, though (I started texlaxing several months ago, so I have several inches of texlaxed roots and a few inches of straight ends).

Also, have you tried a braidout or bantu knots? I  bantu knots. They're easy to do and give me a wavy/curly look (see avatar). I have pics in my Fotki if you're interested.

Thanks for responding!!

Yah I do have to realize that my hair still has relaxer on the ends.. it still does a little curl thing even w/ the bonestraight ends but its not uniform ya know? I think thats what makes it look worse. So Ill have to continue w/ trial and error OR just let it go altogether until Im fully texlaxed...

I think my hair may still be too short for bantu knots but Im gonna check out your fotki and see if I can do it! I love your hair in your avatar!!! :D
