I give up, all my hard work, only to end in clumps..... /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Don't give up. PM whoever has the closet match to your own hair and become "hair buddies" with them. Encouragement is the best medicine.

Thanks, I don't know what I would do without the support of this board.

My husband said "You are so overreacting - It's just hair".

JUST HAIR HE SAYS...

*sigh*, Thanks guys. I do need a partner, I think I'm a 4, but relaxed 3 inches past shoulder in front (sides) and just shoulder lenght in the back - due to the stupid stylist that cut off my 6 inches, but we would go into that again..

dont give up!!! i would have given up a long time ago if it wasnt for the support that i recieved from the ladies at this board. my hair has never ever been this thick and healthy. if you keep a positive attitude it will show through your hair

No way are you over reacting. I would have lost it. But, please don't give up, okay?? /images/graemlins/look.gif

Don't give up on your hair!

In the beginning I use to feel the same way. All the time, effort & money I would put in my hair I was getting absolutely NOWHERE!!!!

I only noticed my hair starting to grow when I was not paying so much attention the growth.

Mindymouse don't give up I just had a simular experience and with the support from the board I'm off to a new start. Whatever your problems are just post or send a pm and fix it. All of the ladies here on the board are so helpful, you can ask 10 million questions and they will answer away no problem. We are all here to help each other so don't give up. In the Result of Jealousy thread that's where I posted about my stylist chopping off my non damaged hair. I've worn weave for about 5 to 6 years straight no break and took my sew-in out after several months of trying to grow it out and that /images/graemlins/flyingwitch.gif cut off all of my hard work. If you look at my last photo my hair was 2 inches longer than that picture and now it is shorter so I do have a set back but that is okay I'm not going to let that stop me. So please cheer up. You have someone on your side /images/graemlins/smile.gif

(((Sindeeee))) You know I was just thinking the same thing, my hair faired better when I did'nt do much to it. Now that I have pampered it, it has become fragile.

Maybe, I'll just give it rest.

What is your regimine now

Thank you guys soo, much. Azalia and Hairfanatic. Your right I've come this far I can't quit now.

HairFanatiac, thanks, I will be sharing.... : /images/graemlins/grin.gif

No, no, no Mindymouse! /images/graemlins/naughty.gif
You cannot give up. You hang tight and we'll all help you out.

Wow Sindee! I was just reading your signature. Your hair is 23" from root to tip? /images/graemlins/shocked.gif That is looooooong. Is it past your waist? Do you have any pics? I would love to see some. Mine is only about 14" give or take from root to tip so I can only imagine. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Girl don't you dare give up! I read your other post and with the weather being what it is...your hair in an updo and the coated bands(mine can't take them at all)...you had alot of shedding. When I undid my son's hair from cornrows this week, as I was shampooing his hair was actually coming out in big clumps...tangled in my fingers and clogging the drain. It freaked me out cause it look like his hair was melting off his head. But once I was done it stopped. He hasn't had it cornrowed and it's not shedding anymore. So don't be too worried...this cold weather(it is cold where you're at right?) is messing with everyone's hair.

I agree Faith, that is long. Sindeee, what is your routine. I can't remember if you ever mentioned it. Please share. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey faith & Hairfanatic. My hair is really at 21"- 23" give or take. Remember, I've been on this natural journey for going on 7 years with a major trim once a year. The only time I get to really see my length is when I blow-dry or press my hair, which is once or twice a year. After I wash/condition my hair, it shrinks up to 13"-17" depending in the style but more on the 13" side.

Every winter I put my hair in braids. Ironically, this winter/The Coldest Winter Ever, I did not braid my hair & I don't know why. This cold weather wreaks havoc on your hair, hat or not.

As for a regimen, I really don't have a set one. However, I wash my hair every other week. I use my steamer for: 30 with a deep conditioner, apply jojoba oil & Kemi Oyl Pomade then 2 strand twist and I'm done. When I want to get fancy, I sometimes will do a twist-out.

I'm still taking my vitamins but not as strict as before because I get so lazy at times. I'm not a PJ anymore neither. I had to stop because it was getting ridiculous, all the products I purchased and have not even used yet!

No, my hair is not past my waist because I'm 5'8" with a long torso, so my hair is just passing the bottom of my bra strap when stretched. I don't want my hair that long because I would not be able to handle it. Working with natural hair is a handful. It takes X-tra special care & patience. Like I said b4...I'm lazy!

Mindymouse,

PLEASE don't throw in the towel. I hope that you will continue /images/graemlins/drunk.gif You simply must /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I will see what I can do about getting you some free AO Island Spice Cream Rinse if you like from the company...and maybe something else /images/graemlins/grin.gif

In the meantime, we need to have a bonfire with that Rose Mosqueta conditioner /images/graemlins/mad.gif /images/graemlins/mad.gif
