Prepoo with oil as I am detangling, nothing extra here
Shampoo
Deep condition (20 minutes)
Stretch hair in big twists to air dry
Once hair is dry, style it
I'd say I keep it simple.
I wash, DC, once a week, and style. (flexirods, braidouts, twistouts, twists, bantu knots, straight, etc.)
If my hair feels dry, i slather serum or moisturizer on it.
if my scalp itches before washday, I'll add some oil. or just do the weave head pat and suck it up.
i slap a bonnet on at night.
Dry application of AO GPB
Wash
DC With AOWC
Leave in KCKT
All done in braids that are worn under a wig. I keep the braids in for a month at a time.
Massage oils & Moist & seal 3-4x a week
I pre poo with a olive oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil and argan oil mix
Wash with black soap
Use shea butter leave in
Air dry
Do mini to small twists every 2 weeks
I wash once every 2-3 weeks, depending on the style. I try to deep condition every time I wash.
I use Silk Elements Moisturizing shampoo. For my deep conditioner, I use Aussie 3 minute Moisture (I think that's the name) mixed with Olive Oil.
That's about it. My main styles are wash and go, twistouts, or braidouts. I straighten probably every 3 months, and for that, I use Garnier anti-frizz serum.
Every now and then I cowash with V05 strawberries and cream.
I leave my hair completely alone between washes. No moisturizer, no sprays, just wake up, fluff, and go. I find that regular deep conditioning has given me the proper moisture balance so I don't need to do anything else. For me, the key to simplicity is picking styles that will look good and last a long time.
I think I keep it pretty simple
I wash( I might coWash if my hair feels dry), DC, once a week, leave in and seal and bun or baggy under wig. I may style it once a week if I am up to it.(curlformers, braidouts, straight, etc.)
once a week. (trying to reduce that to once every 2 weeks)
wash
condition, for 15 minutes (always paranoid it will damage my hair if i leave it in too long)
After conditioning, i apply frizz ease night serum to soften/calm my hair, over night.
Next day, I apply olive oil to grease up the hair. braid my hair and leave it for 7 days
I'm trying to reduce the whole process to once every two weeks (for my WL challenge), but i can't leave my head too dirty! so i'm still trying to figure out how to do that
Detangle
Put hair in 5 braids
Wash
Deep condition
Rinse
Add leave-in (Shea Moisture detangling Milk whatever it's called)
Wrap hair in an old t-shirt to dry
I follow LadyP's regimen....aka the deep moisture method (DMM)
All of the below is done while in cornrows, worn under wigs/turbans for 4 weeks at a time:
-co-wash 2-3x per week
-light PT & DC 1x/week
-M&S daily
-MT applied to scalp every other day
--Shampoo, (occasionally spray ACV mixed with rosemary, peppermint and lavender oils as pre-con)
--DC with heat for at least 45 minutes
--Detangle, blow dry and flat iron
--Repeat every 2 weeks
Co-wash when I feel like it
Bun or wig 95% of time
If wearing a puff, I'll moisturizer daily. If no puff, I don't moisturizer until the next co-wash
Shampoo and detangle once a month
I like to think that I keep things simple since every 4-7 days I will:
Shampoo
Detangle (while rinsing)
Protein treatment (as needed)
DC (under the dryer for 30 minutes, outside the dryer for another hour or so)
Moisturize
Seal
Air dry (either in a ponytail or two Celie braids)
Every other day I will refresh with my water mixture and Darcy’s Transitioning Cream, and re-braid/re-ponytail. The end.
I live in twists as if they were locs, never taking them out to wear my hair loose, but redoing one at a time whenever I'm in the mood, usually while watching TV.
Wash my hair in twists twice a week (shampoo, condition, ACV rinse--towel dry and style, or drip dry and leave loose; no leave-in product); the second wash of the week includes a DC.
Baggy every night. Dust ends of twists every 8 weeks.
