Tried Monistat for the first time...

and I got a headache from hayle. Can someone tell me what ingredient in Monistat causes you to get a headache?

I massaged it in so there was really nothing to wash off :nono:

I didnt dilute it and I used 2%

This came from the MM thread last page. May explain the headaches.

Hi everyone! I have been lurking on this site for awhile and jumped on the MN bandwagon a week ago. i must say, I'm pretty impressed so far! I can barely comb thru my roots, lol! I believe what makes it work is the nitrate in the formula. I'm a nurse and we use nitrate patches on the chest, or pills for people with chest pain/angina. Nitrates are vasodilators ( makes the arteries dialte) which increases blood flow to the heart, so by applying to the scalp, we are increasing the blood flow to the hair follicles, which causes increased growth! Also, a side effect of nitrate usage is headache, which is why we give patients tylenol after the patches. HTH!

I think most people dilute their MN. I am going to start using this in a couple weeks and I will be diluting mine with olive oil or whichever other oil I decide to buy. If I get a headache I will take excredin migraine. Sorry to hear you are getting headaches.

I noticed the headaches too but doesn't sound like mine were as bad as yours. I just had this low grade stuff. Didnt even need a Tylenol. Sorry you had so much trouble though... :/ Don't blame you. I'm a bit scared to go back to it myself.
