Can anyone give me a few tips on maintaining your hair after flat-ironing? The first day I flat-iron, my hair looks fabulous. But by the second day, it looks raggedy. I enjoy doing straight styles as opposed to my usual wash and goes, but not if my head looks busted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I keep it moisturized, especially during the winter. ...Like every other day, so my hair won't be weighed down. And I use caruso steam rollers when my hair looses its body/volume.

I know there is a thread somewhere on here. But it was regarding people who work out and wear their hair down. I'm sure the upkeep tips can apply to anyone trying to maintain a flat-iron.

I've heard that pulling your hair up in a high ponytain and tying with a satin scarf around the ends and then putting on a satin cap works. Also pin curling (very loosely) at night helps and adds body to the hair too. Doing very very large bantu knots helps preserve the style and add a slight wave to the hair.
