In hair purgatory
tell me what is your regimen and how do you do it. the only ps i like i cant do right now and i dont like keeping PS in my hair for long. ive just been raking and going but my edges are a diffrent texture and i dont think this wil be good in the long run

This was me over the past several months ... not keeping PS for long.

My regimen was to keep my hair twisted for 3 days on average then wear a twistout the rest of the week. Twistout puffs, twistout fros, twistout with a pretty clip, etc. It was my low-manipulation style. I co-washed 1-2x a week and moisturized after each co-wash. I would either wash in twists, airdry, and unleash into a twistout ... or wash after a twistout and retwist.

Recently, I've become a PS convert because it's better for my hair now that it's gotten longer.

Loolalooh... I was thinking about doing twists for a few days and then doing a twistout with my hair toys.

My hair isn't long enough to do PS really. The best PS I get is usually twist or if I wear my hair pinned up. But, in order to wear it pinned up in cute styles I have to utilize bobby pins.

I don't wear wash n go's really anymore and I haven't worn a twist out in MONTHS at least 3.

Right now I'm going through a cycle where I wear big twists for a day or two, then a twistout, wash, deep condition, repeat. It's not a true "protective style" but it is low-manipulation for me. I don't really like most protective styles because my hair type is FUZZY and twists look old soon as I put them in.
