OK, My hair just came out AMAZZZAAZAZING!

I pre-pood with ORS Mayo, slathering it allll over dry, unwashed hair. I took a steaming hot towl (i left it in the sink to soak) and wrapped my hair with it and then put a shower cap over it for 15 mins.

I then shampoo'd it and slathered on some conditioner while still in the shower for a few mins. Even when I rinsed out the shampoo, my hair already felt like cotton.

I set as per usual but when I took my rollers out, my hair felt soooo soft, strong and moisturized:) There was NO breakage, even when removing my rollers:) And the shine was awesome.

I didnt do anything different from my routine other than this, so Im sure its the pre-poo hot towel treatment.

It also cut my routine time in half. Instead of pre-pooing with oil for an hour, shampoo and deep cond under a dryer for 1/2 hour and THEN rinsing it out, I only had to jump in the shower once:)

Lastly, this is a perfect way to reap the benefits of a protein treatment without the dry hard coated feeling (if that happens to you). I think the hot towel really makes a difference. It seemed to absorb so much more.

Im SOO happy:)

HI MACHERIE, LONG TIME NO SEE....I LIKE YOUR NEW PIC AND YOUR UPDATE ON THE PRODUCT. I'M 11 WEEKS POST AND MY HAIR IS A MESS, DON'T THINK I'LL MAKE IT TO 12 WEEK'S. MAYBE I'LL GIVE THIS A TRY TOMORROW..TAKE CARE

I remember your other thread about doing protein first! Glad it worked out for ya!

I did it too last night and my hair came out great as well. I am going back to this method---it's a keeper.

THANKS! Im so happy. My hair looks so full today!

I dont think its necessarily ORS Mayo that did the trick. I think its any conditioner (protein or moisturizing) and the steaming towel, that really made the difference. Im never doing my hair another way:)

Not sure who recommended this, but THANKS:grin:

ORS mayo does it for me. I've used this since it first came out and no matter what other Conditioner I try, I always end up going back to it.
I usually add my hot oil to it and a moisturizing conditioner, either sit under the dryer from 10 mins then leave it on for about another 1/2 hr or leave it on for a full hour. My hair is always soft and strong afterwards.
After that disaster with Nexuss, ORS mayo has my hair feeling restored and the shedding and breakage stopped.

I've done this with my Ion Reconstructor. I have a bottle of this that really doesn't fit anywhere in rotation, because I have so much other stuff. So when I don't feel like doing anything but need to, I just slather this stuff on my hair, put on a plastic cap and then rinse it out in a couple of hours or the next morning. I apply the shampoo to my hair before I rinse out the treatment. After i've massaged it around pretty well, I add water. Massage some more and then rinse. I find that I only have to shampoo once when I do this.

I used to do this all the time, with the same great results. I may have to go back to this.

Now this ORS Mayo :scratchch ... can someone compare it to the ORS Pak? Better/worse?

For my hair it's definitely better than ORS pak. The olive oil pak leaves my hair sticky with too much residue. I've never had anything but good result using ORS hair mayo and I've been using it for about 7 years.

Thank you. I think I'll give it a try. :)

I will have to give this a try. Off to get ORS Mayo tomorrow.

MonaRae

I tried it today with the Aveda Line at the salon and it's the hot towel, I am convinced... I had her to rinse with cool water and that was awesome...

I think I am going to try this with my OJON treatment.

I need to get some use out of that stuff!

adding this to the to do list. I chunked my ORS olive oil along time ago, but I think i'll give it another shot now.:D

I would like to try this one too! Thank you!

Thanks for posting your testimony i've been doing this method for the last two weeks and my hair feels great too, and its softer, sheds less and growing faster, in addition to my vitamin regimen too. good luck

I pre-poo w/ ORS hair mayo but I never thought of using a hot towel. I will try it this way. I'm glad you had such great results and thanks for sharing with us.

I do something similar to this, except I also leave a little in my hair. I mix my ORS w/ honey, msm powder, and jamaica lime island oil. My curls are more defined and my hair is moisturized all day. Something I never thought would be possible. I know yr method works!

I tried this method yesterday. I bought some hair mayonaise and used the hot towel before washing. I noticed that my hair felt much softer when I finished washing, before I put in the conditioner. It felt as if I had already conditioned it. Then I deep conditioned with the hot towel again. This will definitely be a staple in my hair routine now.

WOW, I still cannot get over your hair. It looks so strong and shiney and full. Im willing to try this myself now. Ive been lax on the special treatments and such.
