I'm in North Carolina, and unfortunately I can believe it. I've been complaining about that lately to my friends and family that these natural shops charge ridiculous prices. I understand the overhead because natural styles DO tend to take longer, but two of the shops I went to charge $75+ for twists and they were double the size of those in your picture. I do my own hair other than trimming so I decided to treat myself thinking they were going to be smaller. Therefore, I can see those places I went charging $125 as well. I only got them once, NEVER again....I do my twists beautifully so I will not be paying that much for my hair being twisted and it's no where near your length.
Also, I noticed the same price gouging with natural shops doing flat iron styles...the ones I've visited charge $55 plus, where when I was going to stylists thtat mainly did relaxed hair would do a press or a flat iron they would only charge $30-$35. RIDICULOUS!
I honestly could care less because I would only go for a treat or trim, but I feel for these people that decide to go natural and can't really style their own hair. You can't afford to pay $75 for some twists every 2 or 3 weeks..
