Well Lili, I use clips when I relax too and now have BSL hair. I don't see anything wrong with the technique you're using at all.

I can see your video. Just wanted to let you know that there was a story out a few days ago of hackers that are using flash players (and youtube) to spread viruses. The virus infiltrates microphones and cameras and may affect the actual player. So you may want to scan your system.

Girl, I have been in the same situation many times. That's why I stopped going to stylists.

Thank you. And the sad part is ... there was nothing that I did/said (that I know of) which would be grounds for YouTube removing it. I never use any profanity or anything. Not even when the one kept commenting and sending me messages.

Thank you for the compliment!! Try watching it in Mozilla. I didn't show the process of me actually doing it though ... just the transformation ... so it probably isn't really helpful.

I have to be honest and say I havent seen your youtube videos but u have beautiful hair...So whatever your doing is working....I have been lucky to so far get only positive responses from our dear beauticians....

If you do end up relaxing and do use clips ... please please please do not use the barrettes. I had an awful time getting those things out (I added that to one of the videos). The regular-sized plastic clips work much better. Sally has some that are a lot thinner than the black and white ones. Those are what I will use next time I relax.

Plus although I protect my relaxed sections, I am trying to perfect that as well so when I touch those sections I don't have a heart attack. I have come up with some ideas like putting plastic saran wrap over the section and then clipping but it comes out too bulky from scrunching up the saran wrap. I am sure a bright light will come on soon for me.

Repost your video, but add an annotation letting folks know that it's YOUR way. That would exempt you from violating any of youtube's twisted infringement policies.

I was finally able to see it in Mozilla so it was something going on with IE or something. I am working on a disclaimer video right now and I will merge it in to any of my chemical processing videos and repost them so that hairdressers fall waaaay back off of my DYI techniques.

I use clips also, they make the relaxing process so much quicker and easier. Someone here posted picks of their technique a yr or so ago and I thought it was a great idea, especially when you are a stretcher. Keep doing what keeps your hair growing!
