I don't think there's anything wrong with your technique. There used to be a poster here named Adrienne0914 or something like that and she by far had one of the most beatiful relaxed heads on the board and I remember that she mentioned how her stylist relaxed half her head and then washed it and then did the other half so it wouldn't over process.

Also, this one stylist wrote a book or blog or something I remember reading where he said the best way to really do a relaxer is to have two stylists giving the relaxer at once to avoid over processing... So you are on to something.

I saw some of your videos and it's really making me rethink being natural. Like you, I'm not finding nearly the growth success being natural that I saw when I relaxed. I'm always having a ton of split ends and tangles. I rarely put heat on my head but I thought I would have had a lot more growth right now.
