The Week After...Pics Included!

I finally have an album!

I am happy with how my hair is faring thus far. There is a section on the left front side that is slightly less processed than other areas, but it blends very well. I look forward to trying out my old styles, but for right now it is all about conditioner washes and wash & go's!

Thanks for all the encouragement and support

Wow, your hair is absolutely beautiful. Is it texturized? Do u ever wear it straight? what products do u use in your hair?

Thanks ladies!

@ Deborah: Yes, I just got it texturized! Before that I would get it pressed about every three or four months at a salon, so I rarely wore it straight. I have not tried to straighten it myself since getting it done last week.

Right now I am sticking with the products that seemed to work pretty well when I was natural, including Carrot Cholestorol, Nexxus Humectress, Suave conditioners (Humectant and Awapuhi), and Sta-Sof-Fro. I also use Allways Natural Castor Oil on the ends.

Thanks, Tai! You have some serious shine going on yourself

OshunCurls,

Your have is gorgeous! My goodness, I absolutely love it. I can't wait to see more pics!

Whoa! That was eerie I felt like I was looking at my own hair, you must be my hair twin, glad to meet you.

By the way I love your hair can you please go over your wash and go procedure step by step?

Teenie: Thank you- yes, let's be hair twins:) That's why I wanted all that info from you earlier

For my wash and go, I begin by wetting hair thoroughly with warm water. Then I add some cholesterol and let that sit under a plastic cap while I take the rest of my shower. When I am finished, I rinse out the cholesterol completely and add either Suave Awapuhi or Humectant. I add A LOT of conditioner- roughly three or four BIG squirts. I smooth this throughout the hair and squeeze out any excess. Then I spritz on some Sta-Sof-Fro once I am out of the shower. That's it!

As the hair is drying I might flip my head upside down a couple of times to help the curls separate and get "lighter". I am loving the simplicity and quickness

Thanks Ayeshia! I am really happy that it retained a lot of the natural texture- one of my concerns was getting it too straight, but that clearly is not going to be a problem

CBG: Thank you! You know it was your prayers that helped it turn out right

I have been rummaging through some recent and not-so-recent photos, but none of them are really "hair" shots (they are just me doing random things). I don't have a scanner, and most of the pics are not in digital format...I will keep looking, though. I would like to do a before-and-after comparison, esp. of the shrinkage.
