Here are mine:

1. Spray bottle with 1 cup distilled water + a little Rosewater (for fragrance)
2. Spray bottle with 1 cup distilled water + 1 Tb Jamaican Castor Oil + 2Tb Conditioner
3. Vaseline for my ends

1. AO HSR
2. AO GPB
3. Water Bottle with Distilled Water, Aloe Vera Juice, and Castor Oil (is that cheating?)

For my daughter.

Shampoo bars - why did it take me so long to see that shampoo was wrong for her hair? Her hair would just draw up and be so tight. Didn't matter if I diluted it or mixed it with condish. I just kept using it knowing darn well that even my best conditioners would never replace what I had just stripped off. She's 5 years old and it took me 5 years to figure that out! :lachen: Those bars are amazing!

Butter oil mixes - the best for sealing. Makes her hair so soft!

Pantene curls formula - to detangle her hair is a joy!

I can say that I love to do her hair now. Before that i absolutely hated it.

Here ya go!

http://chagrinvalleysoapandcraft.com/shambar.htm

She has nice sized samples to choose from and lots of info.

My fav is the olive babassu bar.

When I used this on my relaxed hair it felt like crap :ohwell: and this was to be expected due to the buildup from shampoos that I used. An ACV rinse used afterwards (as she suggested) made it feel better. As I continued to use it my hair no longer had that crappy feel to it. I didn't notice this with her hair after first using it but everyone is different yanno?

Also I saw that as her hair dried it got softer.....not harder. I used to fuss at her so that I could finish her hair before it started to dry because I know she would be shouting just from me trying to part it.

For me....what I also noticed immediately was that my newgrowth was not drawn up, tight or dry. I'm 6 months post and have no tangles, matting....nothing.

You have such pretty eyes OP- if that's you in your avatar...

Okay my three must haves for my natural 4a hair ( d have a few 3c patches of hair though) are:

Lekair Cholesterol conditioner
African pride braid spray
Sulphur mix ( which has oils such as Rosemary, Olive and Hemp seed)

1. Shea butter
2. Jamaican Black Castor Oil or Organic Castor Oil
3. Silicon Mix (I just bought this on a whim and shockingly it really leaves my hair super soft and happy.)

1. water everyday
2. castor oil
3. fantasia ic gel

I wear my hair out in its natural coils daily. The castor oil seals the water in and helps prevent knotting. The gel gives my hair the weight and shine I desire. I mix the oil and gel in my hair before running though the length of it.

1. Joico Moisture Recovery poo, con and balm
2. Lacio Lacio
3. Sabino Moisture Block

Like some of the other ladies said-WATER. I don't think enough black women get enough of this on their heads and to me this is our missing link to longer healthier hair.

Just 3? No way!

A really good deep conditioner - Blended Beauty Herbal Reconditioner
Homemade clay hair mask - rhassoul or bentonite clay, water, yogurt, oil, honey, ACV
Chagrin Valley soap bars and Anita Grant babassu shampoo bar
Really good rinseout conditioner that I can also use as a leave in --Mop Top, Robert Craig, Jessicurl TooShea, Curl Junkie Hibisucus/Banana deep fix
A soft butter product - Jane Carter Nourish & shine, pumpkin seed butter, Karen's Body Beautiful Hair cream, Donna Marie Coco Hemp hair butter cream, Qhemet Burdock Root Butter Cream, Shea butter
A soft gel (KCCC or Theraneem Leaf & Aloe gel)

1. Water. I put some water on my hair daily to moisturize. And I try to rinse my scalp as much as possible. It's really the key to having moisturized natural hair, which is necessary for retention.

2. Baking soda. I don't use shampoo, just a mix of baking soda and water to clean my scalp and hair. I don't have to use very much and it doesn't strip my hair, make it feel hard, or make it shrink up and tangle.

3. Natural oils, specifically castor and coconut. Coconut actually penetrates and conditions and it's great for detangling. Castor oil makes my hair soft (when used on damp/wet hair) and it protects and strengthens my hair. I use it daily.

I don't know if this question was for me but...

I don't use the Cantu Shea Butter line. I don't like the way it smells (for some reason it smelled fishy once it got on my hair) and I don't like the ingredients. I only used it once when I first started my hair journey in February and I threw it out after that. I use natural unrefined shea butter. Works great for my bantu knot outs because as I said, it weighs my hair down a bit.

For baking soda rinses I get a one of those water bottles (nalgene or something like that) and I put in a palmful of baking soda. Then I fill the bottle up with warm water and shake it up to make sure it dissolves. Once in the shower I pour it directly on my scalp, parting my hair as I go. I then use my finger to scrub my scalp. I pour the rest over my hair, squeeze it through, and then rinse it all out.
