This maybe answered within 1 post, but is it a term you've heard generally used or is a word that us LHCF'ers have made up and it's just stuck. I've been on this board since day 1 and never remember it being referred to as this until I made a post asking the ladies what they'd call my hair texture that looked rather natural but was relaxed, I'd never heard of it till them.

Is the creation of a new word Texlaxed to LHCF as Bootylicious is to Beyonce

I think is original LHCF language LondonDiva. The first time I ever heard it was someone on here asking about texturizing. I think someone may have coined the term and it stuck.

Softresses

In essence, yes. Texlax is an LHCF original. But she didn't really make that up. If's from the episode of A Different World with Tupac on it. Don't ask me why I know that random piece of trivia. :look:

LOL! The first time I heard it was on LHCF as well. I found out about the word "Texlax" as I was trying to figure out what the heck to call my hair texture! It should be put in the dictionary.

I'm not sure if its original to LHCF. The first time I heard it was when I started visiting the site, but a few weeks ago I called a local salon that I had heard about and looked pretty good. I was talking to the lady who answered the phone and I was asking her some questions about the types of services the offered (protein treatments, relaxer brands etc). I asked her if they had stylists there that knew how to telax, and she knew what I was talking about. She said a few of their clients ask for their hair to be done that way. So unless there are other LCHFers in Columbus, OH who go to Angelique's, I'm guess there are other people in the real world that use that same term.

Snoop also used that word on one of his songs back in the day. Who used it first?

i've never heard of texlax until i came to the boards.

when speaking to folks about hair pre-lhcf, i'd just say i deliberately underprocessed my hair then i switched up to fit the board's definition. when i'm on NP, it's a weak chemical fire cream aka relaxer straight-up, no chaser :lachen:

it wasn't until i came to the boards that i started thinking/getting the feeling that the word underprocessed was more of a negative definition and was purely the result of an error on the relaxee's part - which wasn't the case at all when i was relaxing. i knew darned good and well what i was doing when i was doing it.
