...do you do anything special to your hair? I usually don't manipulate my hair at all. However, it feels a lil on the dry side.

I know water is the true moisturizer but I don't mess with water before my touchup. I do feel like doing a mini hot oil treatmentt with a minimal amount of jojoba oil or HHB. Do you think this is okay?

Also, to the people that apply conditioner (or any other protective balm)to their hair before a touchup, does it have to be directly before the touchup? Can it be the night before?

Also, if there are any previous threads on this, please direct me to them---Thanks in advance!

That's a good question. I'm trying not to do anything to near my scalp for the next few days until my relaxer, but I wonder what can I do?

"Twas the night before a relaxer & all through the house..." that's the first thing I though when I read the topic

i don't do anything special to my hair or scalp the night before. i just make sure not to scratch.

i honestly don't think it matters when you apply the conditioner, but make sure you wrap your hair before you start watching TV. i know how you be falling asleep on the couch.

I second this. I apply it to the scalp only. No hot oil treatment then I loosely "cover" my hair; no wrapping with pins and such. I also added a light creamy, protein, Humectress, to my relaxed ends (light enough to make sure that it would be dry the next day). HTH.
