The cons of a Fro...

I love my fro, but I only have two:

When people smoke in front of me while walking down the street I seem to think because my hair takes up more area in the air, it will catch more smoke and smell smoky...:look:

Bugs. When there's one around and I can't see it, I almost automatically think its in my fro if its out. My friend actually found a bug in my hair a few years back (alive, crawling, and GREEN!!) when we were out all day on and near grass- I'm sure that's where this came from.

What about you?

Oh damn you are not alone in those thoughts or issues.

*Some cars overhead is too small for my blown out fro.
*I feel bad when I'm at live performances sometimes because my hair gets in the way of other folks viewing pleasure.

 I forgot about that one.

1. Tangles galore!
2. Dryness and breakage (my hair loses moisture extra fast with "out" styles.")
3. I have to sit in the back in class so others can see. I'm the type of person who likes to be front row center so this is a huge problem for me.

lint!!! i think my hair has fingers and reaches out to catch random bits of fluff swirling past on the breeze. friends and coworkers are like "wait...hold on...you got a piece of...lemme get it". either that or theyre just looking for an excuse to fondle my fro (doubt it)

Ditto on the bugs I have had that happen to me, I was walking my dogs and I felt like something was on my hair turns out it was one of those stupid brown bugs I was sooo freaked out!

The biggest con for me is when people always want to touch it...I feel like I am an animal in a petting zoo

Second to that is I love the feel so I tend to play in it which creates dents and tangles

1. Putting on/ taking off t-shirts is basically impossible.
2. Wearing hats/ helmets
3. Headphones don't fit around my head :(

I have to turn sideways to get in the car.
Sometimes, I can't see while driving if I have to look to the side to change lanes.
I'm deathly afraid of bugs getting in it.
It is oddly shaped right now because of the mullet look. I cut off the back part and it grew right back in the same shape. :ohwell:

OMG you touched on some goodies. I just hang my headset at work on a coil and say F'it because I cannot wear the thingy on top my earlobe. I got Mr Arthur every damn where even in my jaw and ear joints. :lachen::lachen:

I can only wear hats if I put 2 plaits behind my ears or brush into a low ponytail.

Ladies our hair is great for turban and scarves. For my turbans I usually gather all my hair at the very front crown of my hair w/a hairband then tie the scarf at the front and wrap the scarf around the high top ponypuff then tie it in the back with the last of the scarf. Just regular scarf w/bow I wrap from the back then tie a bow in front to I let my coils and curls fly free.

It looks great and I always get compliments along with show me how to wrap a turban please. We have quite a few perks with the fro.

:yep:

This is the number 1 con for me!

If I lean against anything my hair gets smooshed in on one side. So I have a lopsided fro. And pople seem to have no problem pointing this out...

I had my hair in a stretched twist out and a big gust of wind almost blew me over.
hair acted like a friggin parachute :lachen:

Tangles and knots. Learned this the hard way last week when I thought I could do daily wash n gos without defining them with gel. Now I'm back to using gel but a much smaller amount to keep the tangling away.

I can't even take my fro out in my own house. Last week I was oiling it and I got attacked by a moth. I don't know if it was trying to eat my hair or what.

Rolling it up in the car window or getting it caught in the car door. :ohwell:

I also hate when it touches the ceiling in the car.
