Heya

I have a quetion... I am going to get my hair flat ironed for the first time (lol there's a first-time for everything) and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on the best way to maintain it say for about a week.

I have heard of roller setting but I am not sure which is best clip on or flexi rollers?

i have natural 4a/b hair too

The search engine never seems to work for me

i'm sorry i couldn't find the fotkis with the pics...but a cross wrap might work for you or a ponytail roller set.

i'll see if i can find a pic/directions for those.

but basically,

ponytail roller set--put ur hair in 2 (or more) ponytails at bedtime and put the hair on 1-3 rollers. in the morning take it all down and it will have body and still be straight.

cross wrap---separate the hair in the back like ur doing 2 ponytails and take the left and smooth it to the right and clip in place and cross the right over the left in the back and smooth it to the left:drunk: it works. just keep everything smooth.

I would have to recommend using as little product as you can. The more product you use will weight your hair down and you'll lose body and volume. A good light heat protectant such as Garnier Fructis Anti-frizz serum is very good. I've been using this for the last year or two.
