I trim every 3-3.5 months when I get my hurr blown out & flat ironed by a stylist if I go any longer than that I have major setbacks in spite of low manipulation, protective styling, and proper levels of protein/ceramide/moisture. I don't do full/new moon cutting nor search & destroy. I get slight tangling when its time trim/dust which is an indicator for moi. It is hard for me to tell how raggedy my ends are unless my hair is blow dried straight.
