I texturized my 14 year old's hair today, hopefully it will be motivation for him to actually comb it (YEAH RIGHT

), anyway, it loosened up his curl some, but it I guess I didn't leave it in long enough...so I looked in my stash and found some Optimum relaxer and was thinking about using it on top of the texturizer so he could get the full wave effect...just wanted to know if this would be okay to do tomorrow, since I just put the texturizer in this evening???

I don't think that's a good idea. You shouldn't use two different kinds of chemical brands on hair- and so soon. I think you should wait at least a few weeks and use the same texturizer you used the first time.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll have to wait 6 weeks, to give a chance to grow out, thanks for the advice, now I know what I need to do.

Yes, I agree that you should wait. I would also check to see what kind of chemical was used in the texturizer, to make sure what you plan to use in 6 weeks will be compatible. If the texturizer is calcium hydroxide = NO LYE relaxer. If the texturizer is sodium hydroxide = LYE relaxer. Hope that helps!
