i have 3 inches of hair that i permed with african pride regular for ten to fifteen min. then applied carefree gold activator this made it curl up i was wondering how long could i safely go before retouch i was thinking two months to avoid texture confusion and overprocessing i have 4a/4b hair right now im in crochet braids is this a safe style for resting periods and how should i maintenance my scalp during this time and since my earlier style was a wet set what would u recommend for the winter months i was thinking a humidifier, headwraps, and hollywood beauty's olive oil cream

<font color="blue"> Hi cotton, I think it is a matter of finding out what works for you. Some people stretch their texturizers/relaxers 8 -10 weeks while others can go up to 6 months +. It's all about finding out how you hair handles at the demarcation point (the point of a hair strand where the two textures differ). For me, my hair starts breaking around the 8 week mark because the demarcation point is so stressed - signaling I need a retouch.

Your winter regime sounds good, but you may have to modify it as winter arrives
