Going from relaxed to texturized hair.....

I was thinking on my next touch-up visit to get my hair textured instead fully relaxed and continue with that while growing the relaxed ends off until I have a full head of texturized hair.....I've always heard of going from relaxed to natural and then from natural to texturized but never relaxed to texturized. has anyone done this successfully while keeping their hair healthy? Please share.

I'm not pointing to that particular page but is a woman who went from permed to texturized in one of their before and afters.

Personally, I would think you would have to have a good 2 inches of new growth for it to be effective.
