Texlaxers

How do you not experience breakage?
I never really understood when some women say that they are underprocessed by accident and end up with breakage. Texlaxing is intentional underprocessing, why is there no breakage in the same manner?
Is this due to the line of demarcation?

Just curious...

For me its all about keeping the protein/moisture balance in check...my hair really loves mostly moisture...but i use lite protein when i deep condition just to make sure my hair is strengthened enough.

And that goes for whether i am stretching my texlaxing or if i am only a week post.

I'm very gentle with my hair and I NEVER EVER comb dry hair unless it's been stretched straight by means of a flat iron or roller set. I also only throughly detangle while conditioning in the shower with the force of the water to assist me. My gentle grooming methods keep my texlaxed hair on my head and off the floor.
