I'll share my 'feelings' in a minute (maybe two) meaning I'll be brief...

I never saw him as being in the 'race', the final race that is, against President Obama.

I saw him as a 'set up'. A 'joke' actually. I never took him seriously.

Talk to me... about Cain, the candidates, the next election.

Where did Cain come from in the first place? I mean all of a sudden, he just 'appeared', at least to me.

Let me say that I knew for a fact that this country was NOT in the run for another Black president and Cain was definitely NOT the one who would win. It was a joke. A real joke.

Who is he? And did he really think that the 'dirt diggers' were not going to come up with some real mud to slap him with? Come on....

I fell out (with a lachen) when the news headlines last week were, "Cain is going to have a talk with his wife about the 'other' woman".

Lawd... these politicians.

So he was giving this woman money for 13 years just to help her and nothing more was going on.

Hey! Unless it was 'Blackmail'.... or his mother or his daughter (other than his wife)....

But about Cain, Ive seen the recent news on the women who have brought claims together..Are they true? I cant say... Are they false? i cant say..

But Cain knew the "skeletons" was in his closet when he ran for president. He should have prepared himself and his family for these things to come out..Im sorry but if my husband has been helping a "friend" financially for 13 years and has not told me about it...i would be upset..So the fact they he just jumped in this race and didnt count the cost or prepare himself, make me see him as someone who wasnt fully equipped in the first place. I know Obama is in office, but society is still not liking a black man in office, so Cain should have really had his stuff in order. So he is out the race which I think is the best thing for him AND his family....the wife is the one i feel sorry for.

I'm all for the underdog running for president, but can we get someone who is prepared.....

Mr. Cain was a real threat to someone. All this stuff started to come out when Cain was making head ways in the polls. This is why his business is being put out like this. They are all have secrets but Cain is the one they needed to take down.

Mr. Cain was not going to be the nice little puppet they wanted. Just wait on it.. America will wake up and see that she has been bamboozled and bankrupted. Just watch.

I'm glad Cain stepped down. He and His wife need to work on their marriage and enjoy their lives together.

As far as other candidates. I don't see any at this time that I would vote for. We need a candidate with godly values and morals. All this looseness going on is not good for our country. Maybe its because I have not been watching debates.

He was a prop, indeed. He never fit the bill for president elect, let alone for the office of it.

I can see folks dodging bullets left and right had he been elected. Let alone the 'homies' in the white house (gif request, please). He just didn't have the presidential stature. President Obama definitely has the stature; if nothing more.

My mom and aunt was just talking about him yesterday, and as in the words of the ladies in the OT Thread, "Cain needed to have been sat down long time ago!!!!!". When I listen to him speak, he attemps to speak with "authority" but speaks with aggression .

moonglowdiva, that's a good word and I totally agree, that if a man cannot be faithful to his own wife/family, how can he be trusted as a leader elsewhere? He cannot be trusted.

Even God's word says that for a man who takes care of not his own family that he is worse than an infidel. That's spells it out precisely.

Hillary Clinton did it when she was running complete with an exaggerated ebonic twist and we AAs high fived each other and ate it up (talk about coonery) but that was ok by some.

I've never seen this before. I'm laughing but it saddens me to know that all some politicians have to do is exactly what was done to this picture. A few ads with hip hop, R&B, or 'black ppl's music' beats, a promise of a shiny new trinket (you know how they trap monkeys?), and free money for 'x' (baiting the ol hook while not really fixing anything) cause is all it will take to get some votes while real issues are completely ignored. All they have to do is get a person of color to do the talking. For some all it takes is a brown face to perpetuate continued modern day slavery.

Good question. One many here have been discussing. No telling. IMHO a combination probably.

It would be so nice if everyone understood basic economics and if a person who stood for truth was in a top position of authority. If we could really do what Dr. King suggested. See ppl based on their character not the color of their skin. That includes when that skin is the loveliest shade of brown. I am continually saddened by believers who align themselves with politicians whose platform are in blatant opposition to the type of lifestyle the bible instructs us to follow as believers. We allow our emotions to lead us astray based on the very real, very painful history our ancestors endured. IMHO, we disregard/belittle their suffering when we turn a blind eye to these obvious flaws b/c the messenger's appearance makes us feel good. Just my .

I think it was a combination. I also agree with Prudent1's response. We as believers must put what God approves above race. Yep, at first I was elated to have my color in charge but when I began to look at laws and things being changed that were not godly, I started to step back. God's Truth should override everything including color. I know this subject is touchy for some but this is how I see it.

All of them have bad information floating around but why was Mr. Cain targeted by the media. I have seen videos of people giving out this same information on others, in certain positions, but the media ignored it. I am not here to take up for Cain cause wrong is wrong, but there are some things I'm starting to notice.

We as believers have to put God's word and truth above all else. We are not compromise our values for shades of color.
