SURGE NEW HAIR & BRAID DEODORIZER

SURGEREP said:
Sally's is suppose to bring Surge into 750 stores very soon. Walmart might be next year. The more people that ask for the product in these stores the faster they take notice and then will bring it in for you.
The new formula is not that much diffrent from the original, there was a new ingredient added to give a little more condition to the hair and for some that said it itched to help with that. The product is also now made in the USA, before it was made in Canada.
Thank you for your input and we hope you continue to use Surge.
P.S. Please keep me posted with your use of the new formula

I am very happy to hear that Sally's will be carrying your products, soon and Wal-mart, possibly, next year! I will certainly keep you updated regarding my experience with the "New" Surge 14.

Thank you, very much!

Thank you,
Also, have you tried the Ultra Max. Is was produced for the customers that don't want a spray. The results will be the same, they just might not be as quick as the Plus 14 would be.

If it wasn't too much trouble I think that'd be a huge help to everyone, if you could list the distributers... TIA

surgerep, I predict that you will be a very popular member of this board.......VERY....:)

Thank you,
I just want to help everyone the best I can.
We really want everyone to be happy and enjoy the products.
Because Surge has stepped out of the box, per say, and promotes no Wax and Petroleum in the products. You have to do a lot of education to those customers that still use wax & petroleum, and also you go against the other manufactures that sell wax & petroleum products. However, because Surge started to promote no wax & petroleum, we are starting to see some other companies promote a few items now with out these ingredients. But, they still leave in one or the other.

Do you have the new formula ? their is a red sticker on the bottle.

I bought it last year so it is probadly the old version. My question is I don't plan on washing my hair for the next 2-3 weeks. I have heard on this board that you should wash your hair daily when using Surge becasue of the ingredients. Can you confirm for me?

This site has a lot of members that are very informed and concerned about the chemicals and harmful ingredients in many products. I have long shyed away from products with petroleum and wax for my hair and body. Becoming naptural and researching organic and natural foods helped me to realize that using non harmful products is the best route for me.

If you purchased it last year , its the orginal formula.
You should wash as often as you can, which is noted on the directions.
However, if you can't, try not to over spray and use the Lotion Motion # 9 with the Plus 14. We also introduced the Moisture Aide for anyone that wanted to mix them together. This will add mositure to the scalp and won't build up, because it has no mineral oil in it, it will also cut down the formula on the Plus 14. You can try it different way to see what works best for you.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Thanks,

See if this list helps you find the Ultra Max, if not we have more in the Bronx , Brooklyn.
As for the distributors, I can only list them on this post, for now.

Hold up, I got to say my peace.

If your head STINKS to the point where it has an odor and can be smelled, ain't that a sign that it needs to be washed? If there is odor that means there is stank and where there is stank there is possible bacteria. Covering potential odor causes stank with deodorizer is not sanitary.
This is equal to me not bathing, smelling musty, then trying to cover the smell of my BO with perfum.

There, i'm done.

Hi
I don't know if you wanted me to reply or not. So I will.
The Deodorizer has a very light fragrance to it, you are right, you don't want to cover it up with fragrance. Surge Deodorizer has 2 main ingredients in it, one is a natural ingredient that will remove odors from the hair and the other is an anti bacteria ingredient that will stop bacteria on the scalp.

If you can't wash on a regular basis, you pick up cigarette smoke, food orders from baking , etc and just in general odors. This product is not a cleanser, it will remove odors on contact to hair with out putting a frangrance in the hair.
If you have braids, extensions, etc or wear a wig, this is for you.
I hope this answers your questions, if not , please let me know
Thanks,

You're welcome!

I haven't tried the Ultra Max. Also, I don't mind using a product that has a liquid consistency.

In addition to the spray bottle that you all provide, could the Surge Plus 14 be made available in a larger size, such as, a liter bottle? I just don't get enough product in the 12 oz. size.

Thank you! :-)

Thanks for the suggestion on a larger size, however, unless we sold it direct to salons to use, we wouldn't do that size.
How long does the 12 oz last you ?

Just to piggy back off Mestiza, if you cannot do the Liter bottle what about an 18oz. or 20 oz.? I know for me I have to use it every other day or mix it with other products to stretch it out. If not the bottle would only last me one month and a half (I would be buying almost eleven bottles of one product a year )... :ohwell:

I like this thread....I propose to the forum mods to make thi sa sticky and change the title to "ALL ABOUT SUEGE" or something like that.

It would be hard to keep the price workable if it gets any larger.
To produce a really true professional product in a 12oz size and keep it at retail of $5.99 it's not easy. If you compare, most are 8 to 10oz sizes.
And if a salon were to retail this product, they would be selling it at $9.99
Sorry, but want to be honest.

Wow, this is a cool thread, thanks to the Rep for taking time to respond to our questions and concerns.

I live in Southern California and it's virtually impossible to find your products here in San Diego. Can you give a listing for the Southern Cali area? Doesn't have to be San Diego specific, I like to drive! There's one place, the Beauty Supply Warehouse, but they've never restocked on the Surge Spray and the Lotion 9 and Woojee Cream aren't moving off the shelves so I'm not sure if they are going to order anymore. In the meaner, I NEED the braid spray and can't find it anywhere!

Thank you!

You can try any of these, not sure how close some might be.
We have a few distributors, I am waiting to get their phone number to post it.
I would also recommend going to a salon and ask them to bring it in for you. If they buy enough, we could ship them direct. We do sell salons here.
P.S. I would call these stores first before driving.

Sally's sells directly to salons and hairstylists. Since your products will be in Sally's soon, will you all, at least, make a larger size available there?

The 12oz. bottle of Surge Plus 14 only lasts me approx. 2 weeks. Currently, I pay $6.49 per bottle. I have been drastically decreasing my usage of it, partly, due to the fact that the cost is really adding up, quickly. I agree w/ Ashee, regarding the 20 oz. size.

Thanks, for your responses! :-)

That would be up to Sally's if they would carry a larger size.
The more people that ask for the product, then usally they will bring it into their stores.
We will definitely keep you suggestion in mind.
