Surge and Relaxer

Can you use surge up until it's time, even the day before you relax? I was wondering b/c i know that people have had bad experiences with MTG, and I don't want this to happen with Surge. TIA!

I have read from other people experience that surge messed with the scalp when getting a relaxer. I am planning on relaxing on thursday so I stop using surge this past saturday to prepare my scalp for the relaxer.
