Summer 2012- What Hair Style are you Rocking?

Do you have a tutorial or explanation somewhere of how you style your hair under short wigs? I'm having a hard time now that my hair has grown out. The only time I don't have an issue is when my hair is flat ironed and I do a normal wrap.

I really really reaaaaaaallllyyy want to get Senegalese Twists like these so i can swim, style, protect, and do lush buns :lick::yep:

I have my hair braided in fine braids beehive style under all my wigs.

Ms. Tiki

One of my wigs is the mommy wig, funky civic and my half wig Tisha.

It depends on the wig. If it's a curly wig I would just throw it in a ponytail and pin up the ends as smooth as possible. If it was a straight wig I would do some celie braids and put a wig cap on.

Here is a pic of the wig I'm trying to fit all this hair under. The one I have is shorter for some reason. My hair now is longer than my siggy and thicker.

Ms. Tiki you can get your hair braided in a beehive in small braids and you should have no problem. My Mommy, Funky chic are both short. I actually wear more short wigs then medium and more of those two then long. I don't usually do long wigs.

Your siggy look is gorgeous JJamiah, when I saw the blond one the other day I said 'that looks good', but the other one, don't know if its the cut or color, but I like the look.

A: I'm still trying to figure it out. Like the other poster said if I don't flat iron I sometimes become a bit style challenged. I need to remember to update when I figure it out. Those twists posted upthread are gorgeous though, so who knows.

I want to buy a wig but now that I think about it all that hair is gonna be too hot for the summer  But I'm gonna buy the wig anyways cause its gonna be on sale and its quite pricey. Maybe I'll get box braids or senegalese twists

I hadn't thought of doing anything other than wearing twists, buns, and various -out styles. My hair needs a lot of humidity to puff right, so that will be a here-and-there style.

I'm SO undecided! I don't want to spend a lot of money. I'm thinking of installing a couple of sew ins myself. I really am lazy about doing them, but since I can and it will save me money - and I also won't feel badly about only wearing them for like a month at a time. One of the styles I want to try is this wavy/curly bob inspired by Taraji P. Henson:

But I also like Senegalese twists and u-part wigs. And then again...my hair is so happy with my current regimen, I may not do anything at all. LMAO!

A long yaki/curly weave which I'm might regret:lachen: I haven't worn a weave in the summer since '09.
