sulfate and shampoo?

ok I was looking through all of my shampoos and decided to clean out my closet i noticed EVERYYYY shampoo under it has sulfate. so i went and asked my mom why do we buy these things and she laughed and said i was going to ask you the same thing and how she didnt use shampoo for her last 3 washes (she washes daily). ok so now i need shampoo to wash my hair because i put alot of products in my hair drung the week. is sulfate that bad?

any suggestions on sulfate - free shampoo?

Yes sulfutes are very bad for hair. I use organix or giovanni to wash my hair. They are sulfate free. You mom's hair looks great!!!
