OP, sublimed sulfur doesn't dissolve in the oils.
I thought this is what is being used in the sulphur challenge?
It is being used for the challenge. However, sulphur does not dissolve in oil Most allow it to sit carrier oils and shake up before use on scalp.

I have 2 recipes and I use sublimed sulfur. I take MSM internally 3000mg + 2000mg Vit C daily. #2 is the one I'm using on a trial basis (Aug 3-Sept 3)to see if it's more effective.
Recipe #1 – (May 1-August 2) My sulfur mix 2.5oz evco, 2.5 oz evoo, 3 oz castor oil, ¼ tsp tea tree oil, 2 tsp ppo, 1 heaping tsp sulfur, 1 tbs cayenne pepper.)
Recipe #2 – (August 3 - ) 8oz oil, 2 level teaspoons sulfur, 0.5 tsp tea tree oil, 1.5 tsp ppo.

I just really want to see if using a little more sulfur would yield better results. If by Sept 3 my hair growth is no different than the first recipe, then I'll go back to using less sulfur. Forgot to mention that both recipes use cayenne.
Did u c results with the first recipe?

Here is nice explanation and list of carrier oils: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier_oil
Generally carrier oils are light in viscosity and tend to be easily absorbed through the skin - grapeseed, jojoba, etc.
My basic recipe for sulfur oil used more of proportionally more light-weight oils with just a little castor oil to a tsp of sublimed sulfur.
Tonight I am infusing oils with nettles and horsetail. Tomorrow I plan to mix those oils with sulfur, aloe vera and whipped shea butter.
BUMP! Has anyone used MSM for their scalp oil recipe???
