why didn't i think about this... thanks for reminding me.

I stretch to 13 weeks max., and I don't use anything differently toward the latter weeks. I co-wash weekly with VO5 or Suave conditioners, use shampoo as needed, and moisturize daily with water sealed with coconut oil or castor oil.

Now I do style my hair differently. From touchup to week 5, I wear my hair in straight styles and updos. After week 5 to touchup time, I wear twistouts and spiral sets so the new growth can blend in.

How long are you planning on stretching?

my "new growth" conditioners in order

Hairveda Strinilah or Hairveda Moist Condition 24/7
HE HH or HE Dangerously Straight
Salerm Wheat Germ Mask
Loreal Vive Pro nurti gloss

12 weeks, i did it once before, but i wanna look cute this time around and the cuteness is just not happening at this point.:wallbash:

Before I found what I'm using now:
LTR to co wash and the leave in
Dove Advanced Care to dc
Freeman's Sea Kelp to dc
Kenra MC to dc

Now that I've discovered GVP :love3: I plan on using:
GVP Extra Gentle poo
GVP Conditioning Balm (Biolage Conditioning Balm)
GVP Reconstructor (Joico K-Pak)
GVP Conditioner (Paul Mitchell The Conditioner)
GVP version of Anti-Snap
GVP Smoothing Serum (PM Skinny Serum)
Kenra MC

These products leave my hair soooo soft and combable. I mix the Anti-Snap with Conditioner for a leave in, so I can get moisture and strength :yep:

I use Paul Mitchell the Conditioner directly on my newgrowth. I just rub dabs of it with my fingers on it. I also like Giovanni conditioners for detangling purposes. HE dangerously straight conditioner is also very nice as well as Pantene mask

I found some at another target around here so I bought 2 more a few days ago :giggle: Praise the Lord for this product, seriously :yep:

I forgot about Porosity Control shampoo, it gives my hair lots of slip. You can add the PC conditioner to your dc's for extra silky softness :)

I also just discovered adding clear rinses to my dc. Made my hair feel like satiny buttah :D I plan on doing it every wash until my next relaxer. I use Beyond The Zone Color Jamz Clear Shine Rinse from Sally's. Since I mix it in with conditioner, a little goes a long way. This little bottle will probably last around 3 months or so :yep:

You can also try using French Perm Stabilizer Plus from Sally's. DLewis and a few other ladies rave about it helping with the newgrowth.

OT: I purchase the HS 14 N 1 today:grin: I'm going to go wash my hair and use it in a few minutes. I'm 10 weeks post and I hope this is my miracle moisturizer. Thanks for the rave:yep:

This will be my first time stretching and I plan on using the FEKKAI Protein RX line. I have been DCing with the FEKKAI Protein Mask mixed with Carols Daughter TUI Smoothie with heat for 30 minutes. My hair is SOOO soft after ....softest and healtiest it has felt with any product. I am hoping it will be sufficient to help me push thru 8 - 10 weeks. I have always done 4-6 weeks. Looking forward to Stretching for the first official time!!!

The FEKKAI Glossing cream with Olive Oil makes my ends moist and helps smooth out the roots.

Hairveda SitriNillah Conditioner
Pantene BD Mask
Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Conditioner

G Fructis protien conditioner for CW (great slip), Queen Helene with 2 tbsp of honey. Slip like you wouldn't believe. AVC/Aloe Vera Juice rinses help with the itchies ( 1/4 cup to 4 cups of water)! I want to try some domincan products to help with the ng. I just got and used some shea butter... undecided thus far.

Since I need protein with all moisture, I apply a protein and Moisture condish at the demarcation line, like a relaxer, with a sprush.

The latest discovery, since Garnier length and strength is toooooo much protein, I put 1 part of it with two parts Tresemme or other moisture condish, and this works just well as (and more quickly than) my prior method of doing the steps separately.

Strand test came out great!!

I coat my new growth with Keracare oil moisturizer with jojoba oil. I was using the Keracare leave-in but ran out.

I don't think that my poo's and con's make a difference with stretching. It's all the leave in + low manipulation styles i.e., buns/updo's.

pantene relaxed and natural conditioner it really melted right in my hair very nice, i wasn't a believe of the relaxed and natural line but my mother said it was good and she was right.
