I don't cowash anymore, but when I did, I felt a heavy coating after a few weeks. I guess it was product buildup.

my hair can feel a bit stiff when i airdry with no product (leave-in), or if i use too much product. are you using any kind of moisturizer on your damp hair before it dries all the way?

usually i put a bit on....i might be using too much product and i need to clarify

Mine use to be stiff and shed after using suave coconut. I cowash with protein-free conditioners now like orchid, ocean and cucumber & my hair is soft afterwards now. hth

Mine used to..so I stopped cowashing.
