Has anyone with relaxed hair ever used a steam straightener to straighten their new growth? I'm curious as to how well they may have worked. Does it damage your hair if used too often (breakage, etc.)?
I used to have a conair steam straightener, and I really liked it. It was gentle, and left my hair feeling moisturized. I never used it to straighten new growth, because the steam was very hot. I tried to keep it away from my scalp to avoid burns. I mostly used it to "flat iron" or sometimes make curls. I rarely use direct heat anymore, so now I'd have no use for it.
I use to use one of those conair steamers buti dont remember how it use to work with my hair. Do you guys think i would be better than a ceramic flat iron?
