Spring 10 Wet Bun Challenge!

I've been wearing my hair loose for the past week doing whatever I wanted to it :look:. I'm going to enjoy my hair out tomorrow and then I'm back on the ball. My hair's been blowdried, rollerset, soaked with ocean water, and dipped in chlorine (I haven't been in a pool since the 7th grade)!! My poor poor hair :nono:.

Regimen:
Cowash once a day (usually at night) until May 14th (will see from there)
Bun, leaving condish in hair and sealing with hair butter
detangling once a week with paddle brush
Products:SheScentIt, Suave, and use up other condishes
Primary condishes: SS Honey Conditioning Rinse :lick:, Avocado condish, Green tea and Hibsicus condish, Suave Almond and Shea Butter condish
butters: Seyani :lick: and Gillian's tearless

I want to join but I am going to do a touch-up on Sunday so is it ok if I don't wet my hair the first week?

I know that this challenge just started but I'm going to have to drop out. I'll be cowashing and wearing wng's for the next month or 2 and I'll see how that goes.

Good luck on you challenge ladies :yep:

Spring has sprung!!:reddancer: And what a beautiful day it is!

My bunning reggie: Cowash every other day. Spritz w/water/aloe mix, NTM Silk Touch Daily Leave In, ElastaQP Oil Recovery, ElastaQP Olive Oil & Mango Butter, bun and baggie. Cover with Phonytail or decorative scarf.

Wet bunning worked well during the winter and my ends thanked me. No need to stop what's working.

I will be cowashing 3-4 days a week using a moisture, protein, or balancing conditioner (too many to name :spinning:). If it is not a cowashing day I wet my hair in some way every single day. My spray moisturizers--Hairveda's Hyrdrasilica, Komaza's Vitamin Reign, Oyin's Juices & Berries, or Taliah Waajid's Mist and seal with a balm, butter, or oil.

Using Tiffer's method. I'm going to start with wave nouveau on the last 5 inches of hair for now (I'm only 3 weeks post).
I think I'll do 1 DC and one cowash type thingy per week.
Here's my starting bun and length check.

I didn't know I had so much shrinkage (it sits right above APL)

I will be co-washing 3 times a week with Vo5 Strawberries and Creme and HE Hydralicious and will just bun by wrapping the hair around itself and secure it with a scrunchie or holder. My buns normally take 2 days to try, but if I feel it is dry the second day, I will spray it with my mix of water, glycerin, and oils and bun it back up. I'm only bunnin Mon-Fri and will do braidouts on the weekend. Here's my starting pic takin Jan 2. I can;t find my other memmory card with more recent pics. Will upload later I guess

My begining pic is in my signiture. I will be cowashing daily and be going between HE LTR, Garnier Fructis, and Treseme Naturals. Tomorrow I really need to wash my hair though, so I am going to try the CWC method for the first time ever using some castle soap and one of my conidtioners.

How weird, my pic won't post!..well how do I post the attached pics instead because I tried using a url but it's not working

I use photobucket.com. Once you upload a photo you can get the image code and put it in you post.

@Craze(sorry 4 the nickname):giggle:. I will post a picture once I take my hair down on April 10th. I will be bunning in individual braids using curl activator and cowashing.

I can't just use the url from hairlista? Like I clicked on insert image and then put the url from properties but it wont post! This isn't the first time I've posted a pic so i dont understand the problem

I think I'm going to ghost this! I've been wet bunning for the last 4 days and will continue to do so. I think seeing others doing the exact same at the same time will help once I get bored of it.

This pic was taken last night while prepooing with oil...I am a little over 8-weeks post and have lots of shrinkage, ate up ends, and had many detangling mishaps :wallbash:...I will be doing Tiffers wet bun method and/or a wet french roll.

OK here's my starting point (pic taken today 3-21-10) and my plan is:

*Shampoo and DC weekly

*Cowash every 2-3 days

*Moisturize daily with either my cantu shea conditioning creme or elasta qp mango butter

*Seal daily with coconut oil

Each day, I'll just take my hair down to moisturize and then immediately re-bun it.

I'm only in this challenge until May 26 when I go on vacation.
I'll be taking a few passes for shoots but otherwise will stick with this plan.

HAPPY HAIR GROWING LADIES!!! ENJOY THE CHALLENGE :)

I know I'm a day late but I would love to join this challenge. I'm currently doing to cowash challenge and this will in a way go hand and hand. I have one question though, you said that we have two passes is that per week or per season? Also are those passes for heat or wearing your hair down?

They are for whatever you want to use them for.

WELCOME!

I want to join! Ill b bunning monday through Friday with right on activator, evoo, and oyin hemp honey conditioner or a mix of ors replenishing packs and evoo I put all that in my baggy overnight...

I got my hair damp in the shower this morning, sprayed with Komaza's Vitamin Reign, and sealed with Qhemet's Olive & Honey Hydrating Balm. Used aloe vera gelly and a scarf to lay down my edges. Today is a full wash day so I will be airdrying in a bun overnight.

Does anyone have any creative bun styles other than using a sock? I'm so tired of it. :(

You can do rolls, or doublebuns/triplebuns on top of each other...you can make a hump on top to spice up your bun, you can use scarves/accessories too....

I am going to cowash everyday/every other day. the conditioners may change. I am trying to finish up some stuff so i can get rolling with my new staple: RenPure Organics "My Pretty Hair is Parched" Moisturizing Conditioner. I moisturize with Equate Moisture Renewal Conditioner, use Tigi Curls Rock Amplifier for a styler, and seal my ends with avocado butter, then i bun directly from there.

I also wash and dc weekly, and do an oil rinse every 1-2 weeks. I clarify every 6-8 weeks.

Here is my starting pic from last week i believe:

I would love to be as close to the blue line as i can by the end of the year so hopefully this wet-bunning can help me out.
