Split ender actually worked...

I bought it and tested it on a phony pony then used it on my straightened hair, it took off just a little like dusting, I also followed it up with the regular cutting scissors to make sure I got all the ends. It took off most of the splits esp. down the length, but you have to have the setting in the right direction. And there was just the nicked ends in the case after I was done. I'm suprised it worked.

I heard it worked pretty good. The person who told me about it was happy it worked because she was tired of getting her hair chopped at the salon when she was only going in for a trim. I'm happy it worked for you!

I'm glad it worked for you. Using it in the direction the arrow is set is very important otherwise it won't do well.

When you used your scissors how did you go about doing your ends (your method)?

I recently used mine for the first time and it worked very well for me. I was so shocked and happy now that i can control how much is snipped off. Make sure you follow the directions and if necessary make sure that your hair has some slip to it so the brush can go through smoothly.

i had just started a new thread about split ends, when I saw this post. you know one can not believe everything which is advertised. moreover, what sort of bugged me was the fact that the same models who were in the commercial for the blow dry/ straightening brush were used in this commercial for split ends.

I may try and invest in one. it is hard to argue with a stylist when they insist that your hair needs
a trim due to raggedy ends and has to be rescued from further damages as a result of the split ends. after all, they can see your hair better than you can!

Cool. I noticed this weekend that Walgreens has the Split-Ender for $40. (which is cheaper than buying it from the company for $80).

I will invest in one.

For the ladies that have used this...

In some places my hair is uneven and some of the shorter strands have splits on them. To get a trim would be ineffective beacuse it would not take care of the shorter, midstrand splits. Would this take care of splits all over the hair or would it be just like a trim????

TIA
