Spiral rollers

Has anyone used the spiral rollers?

I cannot find a pic online, but you can get them at Sally's or other BSS. They are hard plastic, usually blue or white and look like corkscrews.

How do you secure your hair on these rollers,a nd have you had good results?

I think i know. If this is correct, the lady in the bank uses them. Her hair looks like a braid out. She said the stylist wraps the hair around the wave and snaps it on.

I used the blue corkscrew rollers a while ago. The result was okay, but I think they are a bit damaging to the hair. First, you have to hook them into your hair, and after you spiral your hair around the roller, you have to fasten your ends in with these blue spiral clips. They fasten to the shape of the roller. I think it would be more gentle and you would get the same result from small satin rollers. I hope this helps.

P.S. and the spiral rollers were soooo not fun to sleep in.:(

This sounds like the ones I am talking about. I would only use them occassionally, and probably not sleep in them.

Why didn't you really like the results?

I think I wasn't impressed because I could have gotten the same results with regular rollers, without all the discomfort. (I slept with my head haning off the side of the bed  )

So my hair was cute, but you're right I just wouldn't sleep in them.

Thanks. I think I am going to try them. It shouldn't take too long for my hair to dry b/c the hair is rolled in a spiral and not really overlapping.

Why don't you just use those long, hot dog type rollers (forgot what they're called)? Would they give you the same results?

Funny that this thread stared up because I threw mine in the garbage last night. I've had them for about 9 years and only tried them once. It was pointless.
