After reading the thread about black women citing hair as an impediment to working out,(http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=221615 ), I figured this was a great time to start a new thread to get maintenance ideas.
I have read that a lot of women wash immediately afterwards, some lightly spritz their scalp with something, or pat their scalp dry. What are you doing, before and after workouts? I am particularly interested to hear from women who wear their hair out often. Do you pin curl it, tightly wrap it or bun it? Please share products as well.

I am mentally ready to go back to my regular routine. I like your spirals. I tried it once or twice and need to learn to perfect it.
