I remember my uncle and aunt(elderly) would refer to each other as mama and papa. I thought it was the cutest thing. Well, I do find old people cute in general so maybe thats why.
I am southern and I have seen plenty of couples(again, mostly older) refer to each other as mama and papa. I wonder if it's a southern thing?
anyway, my husband calls me mama and I don't have a problem with it. Yes, we have a daughter, but he has called me that even before she was thought of LOL. He also calls me baby. I prefer mama. Wait, does this make us ghetto? Oh well - *walks off waving my ghetto flag in the air like I just don't care*
But yea, as long as what my baby is calling me is from the heart and not offensive, I'm not trippin'.
