Spinny: Best Color Rinses for 4a/b hair!

This is a spin-off (kinda) of the thread regarding best conditioners for 4a/b hair. I would like to know the best color rinse, brand name, processing time and how it works for you.

I have used both Bigen - which broke off my bangs, years ago and Clairol's Beautiful Collections - which doesn't last long enough. I'm specifically looking for something that will cover the 11 gray strands in my bangs. The rest of my hair is dark brown/black and doesn't need the rinse.

But if I found a product that worked...I would do a full head rinse. :yep:

The best gentle thing that worked for me for gray coverage is a Demi-Permanent color.....
It's Ion Demi Permanent and you can get it at sally's. You mix it with level 10 developer....it's gentle and you don't have that annoying everytime I touch something or wash my hair, all I see is color running down the sink/on the towel/on my pillow, etc. I really love this stuff.

I like the jazzing brand semi permanent hair color, it gives my hair strength and shine and the colors are nice.

I'm going to try the ION. I already washed my hair, but oh well these grays are driving me crazy. So I'll wait one week and try ION and hope for the best. I hope the Demi-permanent works for me! Thank you both soo much for replying. I think you just saved my hair!

I used the ION Brilliance demi color last evening. My hair has incredible shine and I will use it again.... HOWEVER the color chart is extremely off - I colored with honey brown (some variation of light brown) but my hair is almost black... way too dark.
Also my hair was as dry as the desert after rinsing... maybe next time I will add some conditioner to the color prior to applying...

I love Alter Ego Semi-Permanent hair color, as well as Sebastian AS well as Aveda Color Depositing shampoo's, which are surprisingly potent and grab on as well as a rinse. Long lasting as well. :)
