If you live in or near NYC or Newark/East Orange NJ, it's like PJ paradise! I get B's from 34th St. Wig and Beauty Supply in NYC, but I just noticed B's products in East Orange, I was too through!!

Re: List your best "slip" conditioners for 4a/b

Okay, now that I know what slip is, I have a question. I currently use Paul Mitchell and Nexxus products. I haven't had slip in a long time. The last time I actually remember having it was a long time ago when I used Pantene. What does this mean for my hair?? I mean, Paul Mitchell and Nexxus are great products, so I'm sure it's not the products. But, my hair gets extremely tangled when I wash it. I laughed when I read how some people use their fingers to comb out their hair while washing it. I would probably break my fingers.

Did you all have good slip before starting conditioning washes?? I ask because I haven't started that yet. So, I was wondering if maybe that's the problem.

All of the conditioners I use have great slip that is enhanced when I cover with a plastic cap and let it heat up, and even more so if I sit under a dryer.

Salerm Wheat germ Deep conditioner - 30-45 min with heat gives very good slip and I found that the slip is enhanced and detangling even easier when I follow it with Salerm 21 Silk protein leave- in.

10 en 1 conditioner gave me a decent amount of slip....not as much as I was expecting though. But when I followed it up with Nacidit Olive Oil Rinse on my hair for about 5 minutes, the slip was much better. THe rinse also gave my hair a shine.

Keracare Humecto Conditioner is also very good but I've found the amount of slip sometimes decreases as the time from my last relaxer touch-up increases.

Ditto on what you said.

This post is a continuation of the thread on Lust not giving me and other ladies the slip we expected. Since everyones hair is different. Let's post what works to give you a slip.

1. OFFCOURSE Creme of Nature ultra moiturizing shampoo
2. Motions Moisture Plus
3. Lustersilk Cholestrol w/ aloe (really gives me a slip)
3. Tresemme 4 + 4 mango sealant (not a deep conditoner)

All these conditioners work best for me when I leave it on for at least 10 minutes min. and detangle while rinsing the conditioner off w/ the exception of the mango sealant because it's an instant conditioner and it works best if I put it on, massage, and rinse while detangling within 2-3 minutes.

Hair Type 4a/b

Co-signing on the Motions Moisture Plus. Don't sleep on this ladies! It's cheap and better than anything I have tried. Moisture and slip for days!!! And it's not heavy or greasy. (I got a 30 oz tub from irbys for 6.99!)

Khandi: I am not sure. I bought the keracare essential oils with it. I gotta check! But the price here in baltimore city is like 11.99! So I saved because the Keracare was like 15.95 for an 8oz bottle, when here in the city, if you can find it, it's like 25.00. So either way I saved.

Re: List your best \"slip\" conditioners for 4a/b

These conditioners give me slip:

*Motions Moisture Plus (it does build up, but since I clarify, not a big deal... either way, it's great, especially around touch up time.)
*NTM DDC
*NTM Silk Touch Leave in
*CON Condish
*ORS Replenishing Pak (good when I'm several weeks post touch up)

And CON poo in the green bottle... same thing about the build up tho.
