This may seem real backwards but here goes. . . .

If there was a treatment(yes I guess it would be chemical) that would return your hair to it's natural state and replace whatever the relaxer has taken out of your hair, would you do it?

I would. The process of transitioning or just BCing is a change and while change is good, for me, transitioning scares the crap out of me. I hear about the breakage, the necessity for extraneous detangling, keeping the newgrowth moise while not keeping the previously hair too moise. All that stuff has kept me from many attempts to keep the relaxer out of my hair.

But, if there was a way to instantly do it, I'd be natural in a heart beat. Thanks to this and other hair boards, I'm actually quite confident in my ability to take care of and style natural hair. It's just trying to keep natural and relaxed hair in order that is the problem. ohhhh, then there's this infamous "scab hair" I've heard about. What if you transition for six months to a year, BC and have a head full of horrible scab hair. :perplexed

I wouldn't. I love my natural texture but I have pretty much kept that. I prefer the way my texlaxed hair behaves.

I've thought about this before and i would, i'm not feeling my hair at all, and i'm only 8 weeks post.

I know what you mean. I've only ever made it to around 11 or 12 weeks before I reached for a relaxer. I have soooooooooooo many different textures on my head. I'm certain I suffer from the issue of scab hair. I end up doing more damage than good to my hair when i go on extensive stretches due to the sevarity in textures.

i'll prob do it when i get older. Or i would wait til i hit Mbl relaxed hair....then go natural after i get bored with that

That would be ideal for my fickle self. If I could go from relaxed to natural to locked and back again with some magic potion... If only things were that easy.

I'm 100% positive I'll be natural again someday, but for now, I don't wanna. :nono: I'll definitely loc before I go back to being a loose natural though. :yep:
