What do you plan on doing when youre 60? Will you still be relaxed or natural or texturized? Or will you change your mind? What about length? What about color? What do the 60+ year old in your life do?

I probably will be natural (like 99% sure ) And I refuse to cut if after I get 50. I will wear it in a bun or one long braid liek my granny does. Ill get trims but no 'cuts.' I probably wont do a hard color but wouldnt mind a nice clear rinse or somethign like that but I refuse to have blue hair :lachen: All the 60+ in my life are natural except one. All of them cut it close expect one (my granny).

I've thought about this, too! I'll still be natural, with my same french braid or something like it. I won't do any color, though. Just natural through and through.

My mom just started her locs journey in February. She'll be 60 in December. She loves her baby twists and hopes they'll lock by her birthday. She's been getting so many compliments that she's flinging and swinging them around with attitude.

I'll probably do the same around 50 or 60.

I'll still be natural. That was one of the reasoning behind me going natural because I was like, so am I going to be relaxing my hair every 8 to 12 weeks when I like 60, I don't think so!

It's funny, I was just talking to someone about this a couple weeks ago. I'm probably gonna go natural. I'm just gonna have to figure out a good style. I wanna be that jazzy grandma. :)

My mom started her locs last year and my granny has a twa. My dad has a texturizer . I'm guessing that I'll probably be loced by then, unless my hair is pretty long--then I'll keep it loose.

 i'm forever experimenting... while i doubt that i'd do locs, i'm pretty sure that i'll be switching it up just as much as i do now... one of my grandmas has close cropped natural hair (she's probably 3a/3b and fine).. the other one has neck length relaxed hair (she's more 4b and more coarse)... i haven't allowed my hair to grow past shoulder length in years so i'm liable to let it grow and grow til it grows no mo.... or, i could cut it super short at a moment's notice... i think that all of this is part of the fun of hair...

I think by the time I'm 60 the technology for hair care (relaxers, perms, color, etc) will be advanced enough so that this won't even be an issue. But even if things remain the same, I'll go natural by then but I won't cut my hair.

When I get 60, G-d willing, I will still be natural and hopefully have very healthy, long hair. :) A lot of it might be gray by then. And I hope I don't dye it. But who knows.

That's a good question. I think I might be natural with a short cut or natural and long.

I have a question to those that are relaxed now, but said they will be natural at 60, why will you stop relaxing when you get older? What's making you wait until you get older to stop relaxing?

Considering that at 65, my mother has crippling arthritis as do most of the women in that age group in my family - I think I will probably be doing the TWA thing.

ITA about the technology advances. A lot of things are going to be different and we'll have many more choices.

At 60, I can't say what I will be doing style, color, length-wise, etc. But one things is definate, I will STILL be NATURAL! ;)

I'll wear my hair pretty much the way I do now, sometimes down, sometimes a ponytail or a loose, thick braid. Natural of course and as long as it wants to be.
I'll probably keep dying it to cover greys. :)

I'll be natural, for sure! :yep: I'll trim my hair when needed and just let it continue to grow until it would like to stop. Hey, I'll be doing that long before I'm 60! I hope that I'll have no gray hair nor wrinkles and look 20 years younger, just like my grandma. :rosebud:

I will probably be natural. Hopefully I wont have any problems with hairloss. My mom is almost 80, she has worn a wig most of the time I remember her, minus a short stint with a jeri curl. I've seen pics of her with her own hair styled/relaxed/pressed?? but she hadn't done that in years. She has some hair thinning, I dont know if it is heredity, as her father had some, or because of the wigs/improper hair care. I do know I wont want to rely on someone to do my hair. I want it to be long enough to do a single braid/bun/ponytail because I think that will be easier to handle.
