I'm so sorry! Looks like I'm going to have to come up w/a list of trouble-shooting steps! I don't think it's the length but the wave may have something to do w/it since mine is super-straight. Maybe if you apply a little more leave-in before you twist it will calm it down a bit? A cremy one like Salerm might be a good option. Work w/it a little bit! Maybe we'll get some more success stories of how others are tweaking my method (especially those w/wavier textures to begin with).
Don't give up! It took me a while to get it right too
