Is it possible that hair softens as one ages? I don't know if it's the co-washing, the ayurvedic oil treatments (which I don't do enough) or what, since I've been a member at LHCF, but I SWEAR my hair is getting softer and thinner (especially at the top). I'm trying to not complain, but I don't knoooowwwww

@LovinLocks, hair does get thinner as we age but I don't think it gets softer but rather more wiry and dry, at least that's what I've noticed of gray/white hairs. I suppose thin hair can feel lighter and perhaps finer to someone used to more hair. To me gray hairs feel coarser than the darker hair. I haven't paid attention to mine coz they don't bother me and I can't see them without leaning close to a mirror and gawking, but I was recently just telling a friend that her white hair looks so strong like a sisal fiber (She wanted me to pull it out but I took my time spending a few minutes admiring how different it looked and how much thicker it was than her hair--much to her chagrin. )

Methinks your hair is better moisturized hence the softness.

Yeah, and Nonie, girrrl, he can't keep his hands out of it. I ain't NEVA had a BFF want to stay up in my head. Oh, they've admired it, but never had a toucher (kinda cool IMHO). Maybe it's a cultural thing. Bruvahs may be used to hearing, "Aww to the H naw, you ain't touching my hair" and so they don't.

I feel the same. After turning 55 my hair is sooo soft but thinning at the crown. I would love to get some feed back from the 40 plus ladies, and if someone is having the same problems as Lovinlocks and myself.
