I forgot all about this post. I still use Duo-Tex. I usually apply it over my KeraCare Humecto conditioner. They work well together, in my opinion. I like it and it's milder than Apoghee's protein conditioner. For less than $4, it's a really good one to try. However, I'm still looking for something stronger. I really would like to hear other experiences, too.

The back of the bottle reads:
Ultra Sheen Duo-Tex is a protein enriched conditioner which aids in restoring body and life to fine and damaged hair. This ready to use formula can be used on all types of hair. Directions: Shampoo hair thoroughly and towel blot. Apply Duo-Tex to hair nad carefully distribute the lather thoroughly with shampoo comb. Do not message or tangle hair. Leave on for ten minutes. Rinse well with warm water. If application is immediately following a chemical service use above instructions and leave on for 3-5 mnutes only.
