So who are the naturals who are using surge??

I was worried about it making my hair hard. Most sprays do. And this one has a lot of protein in it. I might have to give this stuff a try, though. My "kitchen" always seems to be dry no matter how well moisturized the rest of my hair is.

I sniffed some a while back--it had a mild, coconut/vanilla scent.

Ok...I just got back from Walgreens...and shock of shock...they had it...

When I went to the register to pay for it ($4.99...is that a good price) the girl at the register said..."What is this stuff....it must be good cause we just got it a few days ago and it is FLYING OFF THE SHELVES"...I explained that this would be my first time using it...but from what I hear it is supposed to be good stuff....

She will know for sure when I come back to get some more when the bottle is empty...now wont she!

I just bought my first bottle of Surge yesterday and MAN, after just using it last night, and then this morning and then a little Woojee cream here at my desk.........all I can say is WOW!!!! This stuff is great! I'm relaxed and this cold weather is driving me and my hair crazy! I never shed or have breakage but have had both recently (I think I may have over protein deep conditioned last week) but now I can comb my hair with a fine tooth comb and it just glides right through and I have some THICK hair ya'll - even relaxed!!! Super Duper thick. This stuff if the BOMB! My hair has always grown fast (fastest when natural though - just ridiculously fast) but if this stuff, just keeps the shedding at bay, then it's definitely a keeper for me! I LOVE it! My only complaint is that i didn't buy enough!! Only one bottle of spray and one bottle of Woojee cream! I need MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm really thinking about givin' this stuff a try

, it sounds very tempting and like it actually works! If I get the chance I'm gonna go and get me a bottle

Well I am still spraying away at night - although now I am wearing a twistout so that will be a little harder. Edges are still filling in very nicely and the softness is out of control. Since I am not really manipulating my hair I can't tell if it is helping with my shedding but when I spiral set next week I will know for sure.

Twists, spiral sets, twistouts.... Who said natural hair wasn't versitile!!!!!

It sounds very temping, I check it out at my local, if not, probably, I'll have to get it online.

Updates anyone?

I bought surge yesterday, but I still haven't used it because now I'm reconsidering it. My natural hair doesn't break. Only my relaxed hair does, and since I think I moved my big chop date at least 6 months sooner I don't think I need to keep on worrying about my relax ends anymore. I didn't have surge the entire of last year, and my ends were ok. Why should I start preserving them now that I want to cut them off? They are growing longer but who cares if i'm going to cut them off?

The main reason I want SURGE is because of the hair growth. I don't have any hairline problems, but if my hair grew at double the speed I could stop transitioning that much sooner! I also thought the detangling effect would be nice, but i can comb my damp hair just fine if i am patient and slow. I would just love something that made it possible for me to comb with a fine toothed comb or comb really quickly. But from my detangling thread, surge doesn't work great for that either.

Chimma girl start spraying!!! I have had phenomenal increased growth. I don't measure but I have even had people tell me how much my hair is grown and I have been using this stuff a little over 5 weeks I think

Good luck

I had recently purchased some surge when I went to Michigan..this is the second day since I started. I do believe that it is stimulating growth because a couple minutes after I apply it, my scalp starts to tingle, I swear its my follicles pushing out of my scalp!! I was also thinking about applying three times a day, its probably more than neccesary though.

Chimma...I would still go ahead and take care of your permed ends as if they were your natural hair...it makes transitioning easier and even if you are going to eventually cut off the permed ends...your hair will still "represent" during your transition because it will still look moiserized, healthy and strong...no since looking broke down if you dont have too...

Also it gives you practice for taking care of the natural hair you will eventually have...When I transitioned...because I took care of the permed ends...it bought me some time...allowed me to keep my length...and allowed me to practice handeling the natural hair...my hair thanked me the whole time...

Surge...says that it will help split ends and breakage...I didnt have that problem on my natural hair...but I love the softness it gives when I spray all my hair...So if you are going to keep your permed ends...even for a few months more...surge will keep it looking good...until you are ready to cut it.

Go on and get your moneys worth girl!!!
