I cannot believe the growth that I am seeing around my edges (they have always been a problem area), and the overall softness of my hair. I am currently wearing twists and when I did the new set this week my mom was like "Wow your hair is really growing!!!"

So what are the rest of you naturals experiencing????

I"m currently on my fifth bottle of Surge and having been using it since the summmer.I to am getting good growth around my edges which had always been a problem, although I still have one stubborn area. I believe I can stop that if I stop brushing my hair back. There are a couple of other natural users on the board also.

I started using Surge in November. I see little hairs sprouting at my bald sides. I've been transitioning since feb. 2003. So far, my hair feels stronger and doesn't "tear" when I braid for braid-outs.

I have been transitioning since January 2003 and I have braids now, considering how tight my braids were when I got them and my previous experiences with breaking hair, my edges are not balding. I have been taking my braids out slowly, and they have collected some dirt that have kind of knotted up, but it isn't really all that significant.

I am natural and I am using Surge. My mother just pointed out to me yesterday that new hair has sprouted around my hairline. It seems like I don't notice these things myself.

My mother is also natural and using Surge and all around her hairline is filling in nicely. She has very fine hair and she says she never has had hair there, but she does now. She believes that is due to the Surge.

The jury's still out for me...
When I was diong the pnytail/bun thing, it did make my hair softer and puffier and I thought it did make a difference in growth in the first 2-3 weeks, but after that, the effect went away it seems (back to same growth rate).
However, I am in braids now and it seems that my problem bald spot is filling in, but I could just be trippin...and i also have been using Nioxin for the same amount of time was Surge...
so the jury's still out...

I'm natural and am using Surge. I only started using it on the 5th of Dec. My hair is in braids and i must say that it is really soft at the roots. I do notice that my hairline is thickening.

Just received my Surge yesterday. I used it in the morning and before bedtime. Can't wait to see the good results. My sister has braids and has a MAJOR problem with dryness and itchy scalp. [Any suggestions?] We've tried everything from Scalpacin to dandruff shampoos to doing a no-grease to using essential oils. Nothing is working. I tried the Surge, spraying it on her roots, then massaging in. Still, no progress. I'll keep you posted on the Surge...

Congrats to all who have experienced success. I too have thinned edged. I use the Surge specifically on those areas. Hoping to see fill ins and strength.

Take care,

if it doesnt work maybe she could visit a derm she could have dermatitis or scalp psoriasis like my brother.

I've been using it off and on for a couple of weeks. I did notice that my hair seemed thicker overall.

I mainly bought Surge because I wanted something to help my shedding problem. Monday was a good day because I did not see anywhere near the amount of shedding as in previous days, but me being the hairfanatic that I am, I cannot say for certain what helped. I stopped leaving my hair damp overnight and I've also been using MSM cream on my scalp. I apply the cream as if I were greasing my scalp.

Hmmm...maybe going to bed with a dry scalp did the trick?

I love it now. I dont use it twice a day, just at night.

My hair line is filling it alot. I can't say that my hair has grown any fast. really with the kind of hair growth that I usually get from monitoring my exerxise, water, and protien intake I dont expect anything to surpass what I already get.

Surge is very good, it stopped my hair from breaking.

its certainly working for me; its gotten harden to apply to my scalp since my hair has gotten thicker. im thinking the results might have slowed after the initial boost- we'll see.

that would be me. It's been doing good for me so far. I've been falling off a little using it, but I do notice the stronger hair.

Where do you guys order your Surge from??? I typed in "Surge" at Google and found PayneBeautySupply a Yahoo store. Is there where you're getting it??? Has anyone else used this online store before??

DO NOT order from Payne's.

A couple of weeks ago, some members posted about their horrible experiences with this online store because they paid and never received their products (try doing a search on Payne's).

Re being natural and using Surge, I used Surge pretty faithfully for the last month while I had cornrows, and definitely noticed increase growth, particularly in one thinning side of my head. Plus, the spray soothed my scalp after I first got the braids.

To be honest though, I'm not sure if I can attribute my growth to Surge or my vitamin intake.

Either way, I'm not giving either up as long as my hair keeps growing like this, so it doesn't matter

you can order it online at www.walgreens.com

I ordered my Surge, and I just started using it yesterday....I am sooo excited to see some results!

If you can't find in your beauty supply stores:

Look up the nearest Walgreens in your area. You can go to "www.walgreens.com" I purchased mine from there and it took two days to be delievered.

I have been using Surge for the past two weeks and I am pleased to report a change in my hair. I'm not quite sure how to describe it but I think that it has helped rebuild the structure of each hair--especially the weaker hair at the ends. The product claims to help detangle hair and I am finding that to be true for me. I have been using it at night on dry hair and sealing it in with a homemade shea butter/oil pomade.

i'm natural/transitioning (last relaxer feb 03) and i have used it about three times this week and my hair is itching like mad my mom says my hairs growing (ive only done the front bits and she doesnt know i'm using surge) i dont know if the growth is due to surge (as i sed only three times been used) or if its due to my got2b smooth emergency hair repair which i have been spritzing on the roots...

dunno but my hair def feels sofet and stronger

I have been using rosemary oil in my leave in conditioner and my hair seems to be growing great...

But this "Surge" has me intrigued...and being the product junkie that I am...I am off to Walgreens!

I use surge, I have been for over 2 weeks. At the momment I'm still waiting on the results. I mean it looks like my hair line is growing in, but I don't know if thats from the surge or not. My natural hair is growing, but it was doing that before I got the surge. Its hard for me to tell if surge is doing something extra to my hair (growth wise) because I have srinkage anyway. I don't know if surge is a winner just yet.
