I just realized that I have not deep conditioned in a loooooong time. I forgot entirely about it in my hair routine. I usually do it once a week when i remember. Do you guys think that once a month is sufficent seeing as though Im not using any heat or anything like that? Or should I continue doing it once a week? Ive been getting really lazy and I dont look forward to my wash/deep conditioning days like I used to

Your hair seems really heathy Ayeshia...maybe weekly deep conditioning isn't necessary for you, some people have stronger hair naturally. I like to condition once a week, but I only leave it in for about 15 mins and that works good for me...my hair breaks easily so I'm always trying to strengthen it.

i know realize that when i went to the shop, they never DC'd my hair. they would slap the conditioner in for like 5 minutes and rinse it out. they didnt even sit me under the dryer

last sunday right before i got braids. i deep condition every wash, but every other wash i'll stay under for 45-60 minutes instead of 20-30.

thanks betty, i think i will deep condition once a month. if i notice breakage or whatever then ill go back to a weekly routine

I just did it tonight! I was in the sun alllllll day and never rinsed the chlorine once, so all that chlorine drying in my hair over and over again in the hot sun HAD to be murder. I slathered on some Elucence for about 3 hours at the end of the pool fesivities to give it a little drink...

I've been doing that ALOT lately. Like every other day. Just slathering on a strengthening or moisturizing conditioner every other day or so, for HOURS. I think it's making a BIG difference in how much hair I'm losing because I could be in bad shape right now...

I guess we'll see at the end of the summer...

I did it this morning. I like to do it once or twice per week. I am working to get my hair in the healthiest state possible. I've spent so many years mistreating it.

Well, I just finished deep conditioning tonight and I think it went well. Here is what I did:
1) Clarify (wash with ORS uplifting shampoo)
2) Wash with CON
3) Deep condition 60 min. under dryer. I plan on doing this twice a week.
4) Aphogee 2 minute reocnstructor
5) Light spritz of heavy diluted Infusium 23
6) Heavy application of Elasta Qp Mango Butter (did wonders on restoring the moisture)

Last Night...
Man o man did my hair take a beating this weekend

Trying to stay cool by wearing tank tops, wrecked havoc on my ends. The sweat from my back dried my hair something terrible!!!

The last time I did was about a month ago w/Salerm Wheat Germ. Though my hair was soft, it had no umph... it just laid there and did not hold a curl so I don't think I'll be doing it again anytime soon. I'm relaxed.

I did it on Sat. I usually do it once a week now down from twice I don't need to do it as often cuz my hair is in better shape.

Yesterday. I deep condition once a week, because I want to keep my hair as healthy as possible during my transition. I'm not trying to lose a lot of hair.

I do it every time I wash, but I don't think it's necessary. I think once a week would be fine, but once a month for me would be a major no-no.

I don't do it alot since I co-wash almost everyday, I feel like I don't need it as much, but I try to do it at least once a mth.

my stylist does it when i get a retouch. i waited five months this time. before that it was also when i got a retouch.

i confess... i'm just lazy! i don't think it makes that much difference for my hair since i don't wear it down or expose my ends much...

I did about 2 hours ago. I deep condition for 30 minutes twice each week with a moisturizing conditioner (Humectress).

For me, July 3. I deep condition once a month with a mild protein conditioner (mainly Aubrey Organics GPB - 15 minutes with heat).

WOW! Does anyone deep condition without heat and for under 10 minutes? I deep condition every week, but I only leave it in for 5 min (10 at most) in the shower. The only time I sit under the drier with conditioner is when I get a relaxer. (I'm a big baby when it comes to sitting under the drier! I hate it! that's why I blow dry.

) My hair is in really good shape so I guess it's enough. Does anyone else share my regimen?

I deep condition once a week, but most time after shampooing I put on a plastic cap and just leave it on for a hour w/o heat. If I have to use heat like with EQ Beakage Serum I use my heating cap. I too hate the dryer, I don't even seat under the dryer when I roller set I just air dry it over night.

I deep conditon 1-2x a week for about 10-15 with or w/o heat. I find my hair thrives and behaves better when I do this weekly.
