Hey Y'all!

It's me, SmilingElephant! Remember me? It's been so long! :grouphug2:

What brings me back?

Well, I had to do a second big chop in October 2022 due to heat and well water damage. I had a pixie tapered cut. It was cute but I hated it at the same time

I'm still natural. My hair is currently BSL stretched but shrinks to SL.

My goal for the year is to reach HL, but my current goal is to reach WL by June or sometime this Summer.

I've suffered some hair loss from grief, stress, and hormones. I suffered the loss of my grandmother AND my mother within a 3 month timespan just a few months ago (Nana died in August and my Mom died in November) so it took a toll on my mind, skin, and hair.

So I came back to help take my mind off of everything and to just grow some hair.

I'm glad to be back and excited to be on this journey again!

@SmilingElephant welcome back! I'm sorry you lost your mom and your grandmother so close together. You're in the right place for growing your hair out and you're in good company. How did well water damage your hair, if you don't mind me asking?

Welcome back! It’s so nice to see familiar folks still posting. I’m so sorry to hear about your recent losses and I hope that you are able to slowly find some measure of healing.

Welcome back & condolences to you on your recent losses ♡.

Wishing you a fantastic journey to WL this year.

I just made the decision on Saturday to restart my hair journey. Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Thank you

The minerals that are in the well water built up on my hair causing breakage.

I didn't have a chelating shampoo to wash it out because I didn't know well water could damage your hair until it was too late  I suffered a lot of breakage.
