Ok, I am not sure what the heck I am supposed to do and I am getting uber frustrated!!! Well from the crown to the forehead my hair is about 1 - 2 inches long while from the crown down my hair is myuch longer running a little past my shoulders. Now, the hair from my crown to the forehead is all jacked up. Dry damaged, still breaking, though not as much as when i was using heat, while the part from the crown down is almost like white ppl hair, i'm half black and white.

I don't know what the heck is going on. And I have this SUPER ANNOYING habit of holding the hairs in the front of my head between my thumb and pointer finger and sliding it from the root to the end just to see how much breakage I have. I cant stop, I literally waste hours ar work doing this because in my opinion its gonna break anyway so i'm not doing anything wrong, when i know i probably am. i dont know what to do with this mess i the front of my head!

Any and all suggestions welcome. TIA

Girl dont worry. We have all been there you have to determine whether your hair needs some protein or some more moisture...

Also- try consider doing more protective styles-- put some braids in it and moisturize it...

yeah i do. i alwaus have it up but the front is so i still pull at it so it doesnt go back and i still pull at it and its do dry and brittle in the front i dont wanna put it in braids cuz it'll prolly just break right off from the crown forward :ohwell: :(

If its dry AND brittle you need both moisture and protein. I would suggest Nexxus Emergencee or the Duo Tex treatment which you can find at Sally's. Then do some hardcore hot oil and deep conditioning sessions. Go to the "Hair Breakage 101" for more info on this if you haven't already.
You can also moisturize your hair at night and sleep with a plastic shower cap.

Once your hair is strong enough, you may want to consider braids. I dont know about you, but my hair grows tremendously when I get them. If you don't want to go the braids route....maybe you could try out a wig, or try slicking your hair back into a chignon or bun. HANG IN THERE!! We'll help you get through it :)

its just from the crown up thats dry and brittle tho and thats what i dont understand because the bottom half, like if i wore it half up half down, the down half is like silk. its smooth shiny moisturized and almost resembles white hair. is it possible that moisture and protien is only getting to half my head:confused: :ohwell:

Co-signing - I think I said this earlier (moisturizing and adding protein). Emergencee by Nexus is really the truth - my hair was doing all sorts of things earlier and then I put some of in my hair and it like I have a new head of hair!!!!
